Devil Engine Complete Edition physical

Limited Run Games is working on a physical release of Devil Engine: Complete Edition for Switch, the company announced today.

You may remember that Devil Engine technically already launched on Switch in 2019. However, it then reshipped as a new “Complete Edition” last month. A physical edition also came to Japan, though this is the first time it’ll have a boxed copy elsewhere.

Beep Japan and RS34 have announced an unfortunate delay for Radirgy 2. The game will now be releasing in Japan on March 28, 2024.

The game was originally planned to launch on December 7, 2023 in Japan. The publisher, Beep Japan, has shared that the delay is needed to ensure further improvements in quality and additional specifications.

Here is an overview of the game:

Devil Engine Complete Edition

Original (7/5): Beep Japan, Poppy Works, and Protoculture Games have revealed that Devil Engine: Complete Edition is on the way to Switch. The game is slated for release on October 12, 2023.

If the name Devil Engine sounds familiar, that’s because it was announced for Switch way back in 2019. Dangen Entertainment was originally set to publish. We had even heard about Ignition DLC that was teased in the main game. Devil Engine: Complete Edition will finally bring us the Switch version as well as that DLC and 1993 Shenandoah as an extra bonus.

Radirgy 2

Original (9/8): Today, Publisher Beep Japan and developer RS34 announced Radirgy 2, a sequel to the original shoot ’em up. The project is in development for Switch, but a release window hasn’t been shared at this time.

This isn’t the only Radirgy game on Switch. Radirgy Swag first launched in 2019 as a Japanese-only title, with the western version finally following this past January.
