Vampire Survivors reveals Operation Guns DLC with Contra

Vampire Survivors today unveiled Operation Guns as its latest DLC, which features a collaboration with Konami’s Contra series. It’s due out on May 9, 2024.
The DLC offers a bunch of new content. Players can access 11 gun-slinging characters, 22 new weapons between base versions and evolutions, a new large stage and a new bonus stage, 13 music tracks directly from the Contra series and 6 brand new covers, and a silly 6-chapters Adventure.

Live-action Contra movie and TV series releasing worldwide

Earlier in the year, news leaked about a live-action Contra movie. Konami made it official today, confirming a partnership with China’s Starlight Media for the film as well as a TV drama. We can also now say that both will be released and streamed worldwide.

In this latest video from the “REACT” channel, several teenagers react to Contra. The game hit the NES in 1988, and is considered to be one of the tougher titles out there. Watch the reaction video below.

Four new games will be available on the Japanese Wii U Virtual Console next week. They are as follows:
Dig Dug (Famicom, 514 yen)
Street Fighter 2010 (Famicom, 514 yen)
Contra (MSX, 823 yen)
Super Mario Advance 3 (GBA, 702 yen)
The games above are hitting the Japanese eShop on October 15.
