Dark Souls: Remastered will finally hold its network test on Switch this week, Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have revealed.

Bandai Namco has brought along the latest build of Dark Souls: Remastered for Switch at Gamescom. Get a look at some handheld footage below.

Bandai Namco has finally provided an update on Dark Souls: Remastered. The game, along with the Solaire of Astora amiibo, will now launch October 19.

Dark Souls: Remastered was originally scheduled to hit Switch on May 25. That didn’t happen, and Bandai Namco said we’d be seeing it this summer instead. It goes without saying that this new window was unfortunately not met, as Dark Souls: Remastered will now release this fall.

During the last Nintendo Direct, it was announced that a network test would be held for Dark Souls: Remastered. But now that the game has been delayed, have plans changed?

The good news is that Bandai Namco and FromSoftware are still moving forward with the network test. Unfortunately, it probably won’t be happening in the near future. The official Dark Souls Twitter account has indicated that the test will take place “closer to the Switch release.”

Dark Souls: Remastered will no longer release for Switch on May 25, Bandai Namco has announced. It will now arrive sometime this summer.
