Dredge

Dredge Iron Rig DLC release date

A release date has come in for Dredge‘s next round of DLC, The Iron Rig. Switch and other platforms will be receiving it on August 15, 2024.

Everything you need to know about the DLC can be found in the following overview:

Dredge The Pale Reach DLC

Today, Team17 and Black Salt Games unveiled brand new DLC for Dredge dubbed The Pale Reach. This is the first expansion for the game.

The Pale Reach will “introduce players to a brand-new biome which will require additional equipment capable of tackling its treacherous and icy expanse. They will need to trawl freezing depths and traverse crystalline canyons to follow in the footsteps of a doomed expedition lost to time, while hunting for 11 new fish and crab species, and their aberrated counterparts.”

Team17 and Black Salt Games have been steadily releasing content for Dredge since the game’s release. The Iron Rig, the first piece of paid DLC for the game, was set to launch before the end of 2023, but has now been delayed to 2024.

Dredge 1.3.0 update boat customization

Dredge just got a new 1.3.0 update that includes boat customization.

Players can now customize their craft by speaking to the new “Painter” character found in the starting area, who will let them choose a flag for their vessel and a new lick of paint. They can then search the seas for additional items to spruce up their trawler while hunting for 13 new twisted crustaceans, whose capture will unlock even more customization options.

Dredge update Photo Mode, Passive Mode

Dredge just released its latest major update, which includes the addition of a Photo Mode and Passive Mode.

Photo Mode has been regularly requested by players since launch. In order to access it, they’ll first have to fish for a piece of equipment and exchange it with a new islander, a photographer, for the new device.

As for Passive Mode, it’s come in handy for cozy gamers who want to avoid the biggest nasties in the game and lean into the laid back fishing gameplay while avoiding the more sinister side of the adventure.

Below are the full patch notes:

The first of Dredge’s promised free updates has arrived, bringing the game up to version 1.1.0. This update brings the promised map markers: up to 50 can now be added to the map, with 6 different varieties available. Numerous adjustments and bug fixes have also been made. Full details can be found below:
