The acclaimed top-down adventure game Chicory: A Colorful Tale is incoming for Switch. During today’s Indie World showcase, it was revealed that the title is launching today.

Overland

The turn-based survival game Overland has been give a release date. Finji will publish the title on September 19, the company announced today.

A few months ago, a physical version of Night in the Woods was announced for Switch by distributor Limited Run Games. That release, in addition to a current project from the developer of the original title, have been scrapped following abuse allegations against Alec Holowka.

Zoë Quinn came forward yesterday with a statement on Twitter, which you can read in full here. She wrote about the abuse from Holowka, who acted as a coder, composer, and co-designer on Night in the Woods.

As for Night in the Woods team, swift action has been taken. Alec will no longer be associated with the studio, in addition to the aforementioned moves affecting its other games and project.

The following statement was published on the Night in the Woods Twitter account today:

Finji is excited to announce that, in collaboration with Ricky Haggett and Dick Hogg (Hohokum, Frobisher Says), Wilmot’s Warehouse is launching on Steam (PC) and Switch on August 29th, 2019!

Night in the Woods publisher Finji has passed along a few extra tidbits about the game on Switch. As previously mentioned, it’s out now in both North America and Europe.

Since fans have been asking, Finji has confirmed that Night in the Woods runs at a 1080p resolution when docked. In portable mode, it’s 720p. The game also runs at 60 frames per second.

Night in the Woods doesn’t make use of touch or motion controls. However, rumble is enabled and can be used with all standard configurations of the Joy-Con controllers.

Night in the Woods publisher Finji has confirmed a couple of extra tidbits about Night in the Woods on Switch. The game will include the Weird Autumn content as well as the solstice content.

Night in the Woods’ Weird Autumn content has been described like a director’s cut. It added new dialogue and activities, the Longest Night and Lost Constellation side stories, and more.

Switch will be getting Night in the Woods on February 1.
