Chicory: A Colorful Tale physical

Chicory: A Colorful Tale previously landed on the Switch eShop, but a physical release is now in the cards. Limited Run Games announced plans for production today.

First launched in December 2021, Chicory: A Colorful Tale is a top-down adventure game that’s been held to a digital offering thus far. Read more about it in the following overview:

Tunic physical

Tunic previously made it to the Switch eShop, but a physical version is now happening as well with a new Deluxe Edition. Fangamer will be in charge of production.

You’re not just getting the game here, but a number of extra goodies as well. Copies include the full-length staple-bound manual with the full contents of the in-game manual (has spoilers), a mini-manual with basic instructions (no spoilers), a foldout map of some areas and dungeons, sticker sheets with iconography from the game, and a digital download code for a copy of the complete soundtrack by Lifeformed and Janice Kwan.

Night in the Woods Collector's Edition

More than three years after it was initially announced, the physical release for Night in the Woods is finally coming to fruition – and it’ll include a collector’s edition.

We first heard about plans for boxed versions in 2019. However, it was postponed following allegations against Alec Holowka, who was a coder, composer, and co-designer on the game.

Tunic review

System: Switch
Release Date: September 27, 2022
Developer: Tunic Team
Publisher:Finji

The gaming industry has certainly experienced a rise in the popularity of indie games within the last several years. From Shovel Knight to Undertale, Celeste, or Hades, these games have made a huge splash in the scene, and have coincidentally all made their way onto Switch. Indeed, the platform has found itself to be quite the reliable indie game machine, and as such it feels only fitting that Tunic, a little indie marvel that landed on Xbox earlier this year, would find its way here. It certainly feels right at home on the system, and I definitely enjoyed my time with it; the concept of an indie Zelda-like 2D adventure game remains novel and captivating, and I welcome more entries in the genre. Tunic is definitely a solid little title with some neat ideas, but it doesn’t quite break the mold in the way that the indie classics I mentioned earlier might have.
