Atelier Ryza 3 delayed

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key has been delayed, but thankfully the wait won’t be terribly long.

The RPG will now land on Switch and other platforms on March 24, 2023 (Japan will be getting it one day earlier). It was previously planned for February 22 in Japan and February 24 in North America and Europe.

In a statement, producer Junzo Hosoi said that Gust will be using the extra time to “fine-tune the final touches”. We have his full message below.

Original (11/24): Koei Tecmo and Gust issued a second trailer for Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key today. On top of that, new gameplay has come in thanks to a live stream that just finished airing.

Koei Tecmo and Gust Studios have shared the latest details about Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key, including new characters Federica Lamberti, Dian Farrell, Bos, and Kala Ideas.

Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key has just received a new gameplay overview following its announcement in last week’s Nintendo Direct. IGN Japan has shared about 22 minutes of footage consisting of discussion with the developers and a showcase of the game’s world and combat.

It’s worth noting that this showcase features the game’s PC version, so obviously it won’t be perfectly reflective of the game’s  performance on Switch. However it should still provide insight into how the game is structured exploration and combat-wise.

Atelier Ryza 3 Bos Brunnen

Following the announcement of Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key this week, publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Gust issued a trailer for the game focusing on Bos Brunnen. The character will be one of several that will accompany Ryza throughout the game.

Koei Tecmo and Gust have revealed the next addition to the Atelier series, with Atelier Ryza 3: Alchemist of the End & the Secret Key on the way to Switch. It will launch on February 24, 2023.

The new game will be featured at the Tokyo Game Show later in the week. However, Koei Tecmo decided to feature the initial announcement during today’s Nintendo Direct.

Here’s the first batch of details:

Original (8/26): Koei Tecmo has shared first details about its lineup for Tokyo Game Show 2022, and it includes some news about Gust – the studio behind the Atelier series.

This mystery title is a part of Koei Tecmo’s lineup for the expo. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Hadou and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will also be featured, but neither are Switch titles.

A new update has just made its way to Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream. While this one isn’t adding any new DLC like the last few updates, it is fixing a handful of issues and bugs that made their way into the game. Check out the full patch notes for the update below:

Koei Tecmo have released the newest version of Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream, version 1.06. This update provides a host of bug fixes, as well as compatibility with the new DLC.

Also available to download for owners of the season pass or Ultimate Edition of the game is the “Atelier Plachta” additional scenario, which features a younger version of Plachta, a new map, and unlocks new items for the main game upon completion. This is also available to purchase separately on the eShop.
