Natsume already unveiled the bachelorettes of Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. Today, the company also provided a look at the game’s bachelors.

Check out descriptions of each below, courtesy of Siliconera.

Tony, the eldest son of Brutus the Blacksmith, is a talented young man who loves his dad, but struggles with his expectations. Sensitive, serious, yet gentle, he rebels against his father’s strictness. He is training to follow in his father’s footsteps, but there is just one problem: he doesn’t want to be a blacksmith. You’ll need to woo Tony sweetly to discover what his secret ambition is, and to encourage him to reach out and grasp it!

Gilbert is a travelling bard who will stay in the Lost Valley if he finds reason to put down roots; Gilbert rhymes when he talks! Thus, Gilbert’s knowledge is deep and wide; his knowledge of history and lore will be an asset by your side. Humble and gentle to a fault, yet his heart is locked inside the tightest of vaults. He’ll teach you the art of fishing when he arrives; it’s a necessary skill for long winters you must survive! His knowledge of the Harvest Goddess is important to your task, and his wit is as sharp as your favorite axe. Will you woo the poet’s soul so he writes verses for you?

Hunter is a local farmer specializing in animal husbandry. Both he and your first animal will wander inadvertently into the Lost Valley and begin a wonderful friendship…and possibly more! Not just an animal specialist, Hunter’s quiet demeanor hides a keen knowledge about different animal feed recipes, and is one of the characters who will teach you the recipes for the different feeds. Hunter has always known what he wanted to do: care for all things with hooves, feathers, and fur. His four-legged friends have always been his preferred companions, but can you convince him that two-legged companions are even better?

Natsume shared fresh details today regarding the new crop system included in Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley.

All crops feature numerous variants that players will need to discover. The Lost Valley takes things further than the regular and “giant” versions of crops found in games like Harvest Moon: A New Beginning. Mutations, such as purple flowers growing from pink seeds, pearl onions growing from a normal onion seeds, and mysterious pumpkin mutations that may grow when planted in swampy ground are all featured in the game.

Crops in Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley can be planted anywhere – higher or lower elevations, closer to or further away from water, on dry land or swampy ground. By placing crops in different areas, players will discover new variations. Note that not every plant in these locations may result in a mutated plant.

Over 100 crops will be included in Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. Cabbage alone has ten variations, such as the Giant Cabbage and Red Cabbage.

Natsume has shared new information about Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley. This time around, we have details regarding the game’s bachelorettes.

Check out overviews of each below.

Emily serves as a waitress at her mother’s restaurant as she learns the ropes of the business. Always quick to smile, she is both very energetic and active! Emily is terrified of insects, but otherwise is adventurous, and practically fearless. Like her mother Hanna, she’s very straightforward, and loves working at the restaurant, carrying on the family tradition. As you’d expect, Emily is a force to be reckoned with in the Cooking Festival! You’d better give it everything you’ve got if you want to beat her cooking!

April is a gentle girl, and the daughter of Iris, who travels to the Lost Valley to hunt for and purchase flowers. She has her mother’s eyes, as well as sharing the same soft blonde hair. April is training to take over her mother’s duties when she retires…if she can get over her crippling shyness! April loves flowers, and wants to gather those that grow in the Lost Valley. Gentle, generous, and good-natured, it’s unusual to find April in a bad mood. April is very talented at making beautiful bouquets, but she doesn’t see it that way, and is very critical of herself.

Catherine has grown up living a posh life in a mansion. With a no-nonsense attitude, her cold shoulder has scared away any potential friends she may have made within the Lost Valley. If you’re willing to get close to this prickly cactus, you’ll discover in truth that she’s a lonely young woman. Catherine has spent many hours alone in her mansion, so she’s had to grow up with a sense of self-reliance, and doesn’t trust others easily. Although she is loath to admit it, deep down, she wants and needs friends, human contact, and love.

Screenshots featuring Emily, April, and Catherine can be found in our gallery above.

Natsume is continuing its series of developer diaries for Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, and has revealed new details.

First, producer Taka Maekawa discusses how caring for and raising animals will work:

“While we were first developing Harvest Moon: The Lost Valley, we called it by a code name: Back to Basics. We’ve applied this philosophy to many aspects of the game, including the animals available on the farm. We went back to the basics: cows, sheep, chickens, and, of course, horses.”

You can find a whole bunch of animal details below, and a few art pieces above.
