IllFonic today shared new details about year two for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed via a roadmap, which will see the release of free DLC. There’ll be a heightened focus on interactive play and more.
The first piece of content, due out by the end of the month, will coincide with Columbia Pictures’ Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire movie. Players will get to try their hand at taking down Garraka, master of the Death Chill and the newest villain to join Ghostbusters lore. Essentially, you’ll be able to live out experiences inspired by the new film’s adventure. The free DLC will also come with more Ghostbuster gear – proton packs, suits, and more.

Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition received its latest update on Switch, and version 1.7.1 is highlighted by the introduction of cross-play on Switch.
The feature is immediately available. Simply restart the game to access cross-play and play online with users on other platforms.

Today, IllFonic provided the final release date for Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition and confirmed a physical version. On Switch, the game will be available digitally on October 19, 2023. The physical version from Nighthawk Interactive will follow later in 2023 – you can pre-order it on Amazon here.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition will include the original game and all DLC. Pricing is set at $19.99.

IllFonic today announced that Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed is heading to Switch with a new Ecto Edition. A release is planned for later in 2023.
Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed – Ecto Edition is an asymmetrical multiplayer title. The Switch version will run at a dynamic resolution from a range of 720 (handheld mode) to 1080p at the maximum. The frame rate clocks in at 30 FPS.
