Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon

Luigi's Mansion 2 HD

We have an update on the new Switch version of Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon thanks to today’s Nintendo Direct, and the game is now confirmed to be titled Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD. The game is slated for Summer 2024.

It’s not been too long since we last heard about the game, which is a visually enhanced version of the original, as it was made known during the June Nintendo Direct. That news was shared alongside a bunch of other Mario news – notably Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Super Mario RPG, and the new Princess Peach title.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon originally released on 3DS in 2013, so the game will be making its return just over a decade later.

The 3DS game Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is on the way to Switch, Nintendo has revealed. It will launch in 2024.

Nintendo is officially describing the release as a “visually enhanced” version of the game. More information will be shared in the future.

Shigeru Miyamoto delivered a personal piece of artwork to Next Level Games earlier this year in celebration of Luigi’s Mansion 2: Dark Moon reaching 3 million units in sales. It features Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi.
