Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack western release

Following its Japanese launch, XSEED Games today announced that it’s working on a western release of Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack on Nintendo Switch. It will be available later in 2025.

Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack features the entirety of the “Heavenly Host” narrative including the modernized version of the first adventure, Corpse Party (2021); the sequel, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows; and the western console debuts of Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash and Corpse Party: Blood Drive, the conclusion to the Heavenly Host saga.

Corpse Party 2: Darkness Distortion has been hit with another delay, with the game now expected to launch in 2026. The title will launch worldwide.

According to today’s announcement, Mages “is using the additional time to ensure that the next installment, introducing significant changes in perspective to enhance the immersive horror, lives up to the Corpse Party legacy and delivers the biggest frights yet.”

Iwakura Aria trailer

PQube and Mages uploaded a new Iwakura Aria launch trailer. The suspense visual novel previously came to Japan, but just landed in the west this week.

May 23: Developer Mages has announced the Corpse Party Tetralogy Pack for Nintendo Switch, a collection consisting of four games from their Corpse Party series. The compilation is set to release physically in Japan alongside a collectors edition on August 7, 2025.

The games included are Corpse Party (2021), Corpse Party: Blood Drive, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows, and Corpse Party: Sweet Sachiko’s Hysteric Birthday Bash. This will also mark the latter two game’s first appearance on the Nintendo Switch.

PQube announced that Iwakura Aria, the suspenseful visual novel developed by MAGES, is coming to the West on August 14 for Nintendo Switch.

Set within the mysterious Iwakura Mansion, the story follows Ichiko, a newly hired maid seeking only safety and stability. However, her fate quickly becomes intertwined with that of the mansion’s beautiful heiress. As secrets unfold, players will be drawn into a dramatic tale of intrigue and emotion.

The Quintessential Princesses Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy

Today, Mages unveiled its new game The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy for Nintendo Switch. The game launches on September 18, 2025 in Japan.

The Quintessential Princesses: Fantasy, the Abyss, and the Magic Academy is a dungeon RPG. It ties in with the well-known manga and anime.

Emio Smiling Man Famicom Detective Club approval

According to Emio – The Smiling Man: Famicom Detective Club producer Yoshio Sakamoto, getting the project approved wasn’t too big of an issue.

Famicom Detective Club had been a dormant franchise for Nintendo until the Switch remakes of the original titles back in 2021. Then last August, Emio – The Smiling Man launched on the console. That was the first new Famicom Detective Club story in 35 years.

Iwakura Aria

PQube made it known today that it’s picked up Iwakura Aria for western publishing. It will be available on Nintendo Switch in 2025.

Iwakura Aria is a visual novel from Mages. Japan has had the title since June, but now we know that an English localization is in the works for next year.

Ever17 Never 7 remasters

November 24: Ever 17: The Out of Infinity and Never 7: The End of Infinity have just been announced for Nintendo Switch. Both are due out on March 6, 2025 in Japan, and a Double Pack will be available. Note that while only a Japanese release is confirmed, English will be among the supported languages.

Ever 17: The Out of Infinity and Never 7: The End of Infinity are a pair of visual novels in the Infinity series. They first launched in 2002 and 2000 respectively. Kotaro Uchikoshi, known for his work on the Zero Escape and AI: The Somnium Files franchises, wrote both entries.

Today, PQube shared a final release date for the western version of Genso Manège. The title is scheduled for January 31, 2025.

Genso Manège, a visual novel from Mages, was confirmed for localization back in April. Today marks the first time PQube has shared any information about launch timing.
