Metalhead Software today announced the latest update for Super Mega Baseball 3. Next week, the game will be receiving the new game mode called Online Leagues (formerly announced as Custom Pennant Race) as well as a revamped Watch Mode.

Super Mega Baseball 3 will be out for Switch on May 13 and will be offered through the eShop.

Metalhead Software today announced that sometime after Super Mega Baseball 3 launches, the game will be updated with Custom Pennant Race. This online mode lets players organize a private cross-platform Pennant Race and invite friends to participate. Up to 32 total users are supported.

Metalhead Software originally hoped to launch Super Mega Baseball 3 this month, but warned that industry-wide changes caused by the coronavirus could impact the release date. That ended up happening, as the company announced today that its upcoming title will now launch on May 13.

Super Mega Baseball 3 launches for Switch via the eShop in April.

Metalhead Software today announced Super Mega Baseball 3, the latest addition to its sports series. It’ll launch this April on Switch via the eShop.

Super Mega Baseball 3 will feature cross-platform play between Switch, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and Steam. The game promises “comprehensive online and offline game modes including a brand new Franchise mode, and vastly refined graphics.” That’s along with “a revamped user interface plus tons of new audio, team/character content, and stadiums with variable lighting conditions.” Gameplay scales seamlessly from beginner to super mega levels of difficulty.
