Original (10/14): Mortal Kombat 1 has provided a first proper look at Omni-Man with a new trailer that just debuted at Comic-Con today.
Omni-Man is a DLC guest character planned for the game’s Kombat Pack. Ermac, Homelander, Peacemaker, Quan Chi, and Takeda make up the rest of the pass.

Mortal Kombat 1 just went live with its first Switch update, and it comes with a number of improvements. Full patch notes are now available.
Much has been made of the Switch version of the fighter. That led to series creator Ed Boon stating that the game would be fixed on Nintendo’s console, and it looks like that’s now starting to happen. Today’s patch comes with visual improvements, performance improvements, and loading time improvements. On top of that, Invasions Season 1, balance changes, and more are here.

While Mortal Kombat 1 has been seeing an overall positive impression on most consoles, the same can’t be said of the Switch version. Fans aren’t pleased with some of the game’s visuals and performance on Nintendo’s platform. However, it sounds like there are at least plans to improve the experience on Switch.
In an interview with BBC Newsbeat, series creator Ed Boon said the Switch version of Mortal Kombat 1 “absolutely be getting an update”. He went on to say:

A new graphics comparison video has come in for Mortal Kombat 1, showing how the Switch version stacks up to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series S, and PC (Steam Deck) releases.
It seems that a number of compromises were made to get the fighter running on Switch with several adjustments having been implemented. Character models, geometry, textures, shadows, and more are all scaled back on Switch. The game also has a lower resolution on Switch as expected.

Mortal Kombat 1 is starting to launch, and we have the patch notes for a day-one update. Some players can get early access through the game’s Premium Edition.

Another Mortal Kombat 1 trailer just dropped for Jean-Claude Van Damme. In the game’s Premium Edition, he’ll be appearing as a skin for Johnny Cage.
Damme is a martial artist, actor, filmmaker, and fight choreographer. Some of the movies he’s appeared in include Street Fighter, The Expendables 2, and the Kung Fu Panda franchise.

Mortal Kombat 1 continues to roll out new character reveals, and Nitara has now been confirmed for the roster. She first appeared in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, which hit the GameCube in 2002.
In Mortal Kombat 11, Nitara will be voiced by Megan Fox. Regarding her role, she said: “I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and I can’t believe that I’m voicing a character in the new game. It’s an honor to be a part of one of the greatest video game legacies of all time.”
