Street Fighter 6, the latest entry in Capcom’s legendary fighting series, is heading to Nintendo Switch 2 complete with new amiibo. That news was just shared during today’s Nintendo Direct dedicated to the new console.
This mimics Capcom’s approach with the Nintendo 3DS many years ago. For the launch of that system, the company had Super Street Fighter 4: 3D Edition ready to go for launch.

Nintendo just revealed Drag x Drive, a brand new game for Switch 2. The game launches Summer 2025.
The project is based around the console’s new mouse feature. You’ll use the mice to pull off various moves.

After it was first discovered a few days ago, Nintendo Switch 2 Edition games are now confirmed. These will include things like new features, graphics updates, and more for Switch 1 titles. Everything will be offered physically and digitally. Upgrade packs are planned for Switch 1 owners.
One such game is Super Mario Party Jamboree, which will offer new elements such as new modes and minigames with support for mouse controls and the built-in mic along with Bowser Live, a game-show themed experience. The game launches on July 24, 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller unveiled, audio jack included

Today, the brand new Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller was unveiled. As has been previously rumored, it will include an audio jack.
That’s the main new feature this time around. If you own a Nintendo Switch 1 Pro Controller, the layout and everything else should look pretty familiar.

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour announced

Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour is being made alongside the new console, it’s been announced. It will be available as a paid digital game.
This is a new game that teachers users about the system. For example, you can learn different secrets such as how the Joy-Con magnets work. A variety of mini games will be included. It’s essentially a a virtual exhibition also containing tech demos and other interactions.

Mario Kart World officially announced for Nintendo Switch 2

In what will come as no surprise to many, Nintendo officially revealed Mario Kart World for Switch 2 today. It launches alongside the new hardware.
Various elements were shown in the first trailer, including wall grinding and wall jumping, costumes, and more. Time of day and weather conditions will impact the atmosphere. Additionally, you can go off the race track. There’s still Grand Prix, but you’ll drive to the next course as part of the next competition. Knockout Tour has you racing nonstop from one part of the world to another with multiple checkpoints that cause elimination. Free Roam is also included in which you can freely drive around the world.

The big moment is almost upon us with Nintendo Direct: Nintendo Switch 2 beginning in just one hour. Fans can tune in starting at 6 AM PT / 9 AM ET / 3 PM in the UK / 4 PM in Europe. The event should be going on for about an hour.
Nintendo has actually said very little about today’s presentation. However, what you can expect is a huge blowout of Nintendo Switch 2, including various game announcements. Nintendo should also be explaining what new this time, and we’d be surprised if we didn’t get a release date.
