If you have a European 3DS, you can now download PixelMaker from the 3DS eShop. The North American release is coming soon. For an off-screen look at the portable version of PixelMaker, continue on below.

After hitting the Wii U eShop in May, PixelMaker is now coming to 3DS. The European release is planned for this Thursday.

To download the app, 223 blocks will be required. That converts to 27.875 MB.

Nostatic Software is wrapping up work on a 3DS port of PixelMaker, which previously came to the Wii U eShop. The indie developer may also port over VoxelMaker based on new tweets.

Nostatic recently posted on Twitter:


VoxelMaker’s 3DS port isn’t set in stone, though it does look like it’s happening. We’ll let you know if we hear anything more concrete.

A new PixelMaker update can now be downloaded for Wii U in Europe. For those in North America, it should be ready to go tomorrow.

Here’s what the update entails:

– Exporting of PNG images to SD card.
– Six new fonts for adding text.
– Scaling and outlining of inserted text.
– Option to hide the user interface.
– Left-to-right interface flip for left-handed users.
– Option to scale TV image to full display size.
– Selection and use of colors from image that are not in the palette.
– Text entry of color RGB values.
– Auto-sizing of color palette to fit available space.

Nostatic Software has plans to bring PixelMaker to 3DS soon, but there’s no release date just yet.

PixelMaker, an eShop app that allows users to easily design images and share them on Miiverse, is now making its way to 3DS. This will be the first title on the portable from developer Nostatic Software.

The studio recently announced via Twitter:


PixelMaker previously landed on Wii U in May. It’s currently running on the New 3DS, but Nostatic hopes to have it available on the original 3DS as well.

On Miiverse, Nostatic Software mentioned that an update is planned for PixelMaker. Users will have access to more options for inserting text into images, such as additional fonts, configurable text, and the ability to outline text.

Nostatic Software is bringing one of its prior releases to the Wii U eShop. Last week, the indie developer shared a photo of Block Zombies on the GamePad.

PixelMaker made its way to the European Wii U eShop this past Thursday. In North America, it’s now confirmed for launch next week. PixelMaker is scheduled for May 5 in the states.
