Octodad: Dadliest Catch has received a new update on Switch. Version 1.0.2 is now available for download.
Today’s update looks to have one primary purpose, which is the addition of support for video capture. No other changes have been implemented.

Via Twitter, Young Horses shared news that an update is in the works for Octodad: Dadliest Catch on Wii U. Its primary purpose is to fix bugs that players have encountered.
The tweet from Young Horses is as follows:

Update: Entries are now closed! We’ll announce a winner this weekend, likely alongside our next Patreon update.
It’s been awhile since our last giveaway! I’ve sort of had my hands in about 100 different site-related things over the past few months, so they’ve been put on the back burner slightly. Finally though, we’re back with a giveaway pertaining to a game that just launched on the Wii U eShop: Octodad: Dadliest Catch.
In total, we’ve giving away six codes. We have three codes for North America, and another three for European Wii U owners.
The task is simple: tell us about your favorite unconventional game – given the kooky nature of Octodad – in the comments below. Also, please be sure to specify which region you’re entering for! We’ll let the giveaway run through Tuesday, and we’ll then announce the winners soon after, who will be chosen randomly.

A listing on the eShop indicated that Octodad: Dadliest Catch would be out on the European Wii U eShop next Thursday. Young Horses has now officially confirmed the news, and we also know that the North American release is set for the same day.
Those who purchase Octodad: Dadliest Catch before November 5 can receive a 20 percent discount. The game will be sold for $11.24 / €11.19 / £9.59 during this period.

Octodad: Dadliest Catch has now been dated for Europe. Next Thursday, the game will be out on the Wii U eShop for €13.99. A North American date hasn’t been announced, but it shouldn’t be too far behind.
