United Label and Odd Bug Studio have announced a new “Valentails Day” update for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter, which should be coming to Nintendo Switch later this month.
The update includes new crafting blueprints that turn the game’s rodent protagonist – Arlo, heir to the Warden of the Wastes – into a Cupid-like figure, adorned with a new winged armor set and fortified with a bow covered in hearts. There are other improvements and fixes as well.

United Label and Odd Bug Studio have issued a launch trailer for Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. Now available for Nintendo Switch, this action-RPG ‘squeak-quel’ takes place a number of years after the 2021 original game.

United Label and Odd Bug Studio are offering up the latest look at Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter with a new trailer showing off the action RPG’s ‘Elementa’ spellcasting system. The team says this allows for greater combat options.
Lead designer Jack Bennett said: “We’ve been excitedly waiting to share the news for a while that spellcasting is coming to the Ratdom in Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. Mastering the brutal combat of sword and spear against ferocious opposition is something fans of the original game were accustomed to, so for the follow-up we really wanted to introduce another layer of in-the-moment combat options for players to command and use against Arlo’s foes. The ‘Elementa’ magics of the gods, coupled with the addition of traps, gives players that extra layer to consider, and more.”

Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter received its release date, and it won’t be too much longer until fans can experience the game. Publisher United Label and developer Odd Bug Studio shared today that it’s slated for January 28, 2025.
This is actually one of those rare circumstances when a game is coming out sooner than originally planned. Previously, the title was scheduled for February – but it didn’t have a date at the time.

Tails of Iron II: Whiskers of Winter has been hit with a delay. Announced at Gamescom 2024 today, the title will now launch in February 2025.
Tails of Iron II: Whiskers of Winter was last planned for this year. The team did not provide a reason for the delay.

March 21: Tails of Iron is getting a sequel in the form of Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter. The game, which was just announced, is coming to Switch – though there’s no release window.
Tails of Iron 2: Whiskers of Winter is a new action RPG in which players will take on the role of Arlo, heir to the Warden of the Wastes, as they adventure through harsh northern lands, home to giant beasts and ragtag bandits. The end goal is to overcome an ancient, blood-starved evil.

Brand new Tails of Iron DLC has been revealed dubbed Bright Fir Forest. It’ll be rolling out Switch today in North America, but those in Europe will need to wait until early 2024.
The DLC introduces a new faction of squirrels, a dozen new quests, and nearly 100 additional weapon and armor pieces. Here’s the official breakdown:

Tails of Iron reveals “Bloody Whiskers” free update, out today

A major update has been revealed for Tails of Iron with the game getting “Bloody Whiskers” DLC today. Switch players can get their hands on the content at no extra cost.
