The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Many fans have been wondering about the status of The Walking Dead: The Final Season since Telltale went under and Skybound came in to pick up the remaining series. Today, we finally have an update.

Skybound said on its website that “many of the talented, passionate team members who originally worked on the game are resuming development efforts today”. Additionally, the release dates for the last two episodes are coming soon.

Hollow Knight

Earlier this year, Team Cherry and Skybound Games announced a partnership to publish a physical version of Hollow Knight. Sadly, the deal has fallen through.

Skybound said on Twitter a short while ago that it is no longer working with Team Cherry on Hollow Knight. Team Cherry itself has not yet provided a statement.

It might be possible that Hollow Knight will be receiving a physical copy, but it won’t be with Skybound. We’ll keep you updated on any future developments.

Here are a few notable excerpts:

The Walking Dead: The Final Season

Skybound announced this past weekend that it is picking up the pieces left behind by Telltale’s closure to finish The Walking Dead: The Final Season. Two episodes have been released, though two more still need to be finished. That’s where Skybound comes in.

Speaking with Variety, president Dan Murray noted that the company hopes to work with the original team on the last episodes. He also spoke generally about the recent news surrounding Telltale and more, in which he stated:

Update: Unfortunately, Variety’s initial report contained misinformation. Adult Swim Games has clarified that Switch is not confirmed at this time.

Original: Death’s Gambit is heading to Switch, according to a Variety report. White Rabbit and Adult Swim Games will be working with Skybound Games on the release.

Death’s Gambit is a 2D action platformer with deep RPG elements. Find more details and a trailer below.

Hollow Knight

Hollow Knight is only available as a digital download at present. But next year, that’ll be changing thanks to a new partnership between Team Cherry and Skybound Games.

Announced today, Hollow Knight will have a physical version on Switch in Spring 2019. Skybound Games will be distributing the title.
