How to transfer Wii Fit and Wii Fit Plus data to Wii Fit U
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii, Wii U | 4 Comments
If you’ve already used Wii Fit or Wii Fit Plus, you’ll be able to bring data from either game over to Wii Fit U. Now, how do you go about that? An update to Wii Fit U’s official Japanese website recently shared a summary of steps, which we’ve translated below:
- Copy the save data from the Wii Data Management section onto an SD card (card must have at least 512MB of space)
- Move the SD card to the Wii U
- Put the Wii Fit/Wii Fit Plus disc into the Wii U
- Go into Wii mode on Wii U
- Copy the save data to Wii U within Wii mode
- Data can then be extracted from the Wii once you get Wii Fit U
Should be easy enough!

Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
REDMOND, Wash.–(BUSINESS WIRE)– Nintendo is giving Wii U owners the chance to get fit for free. Starting Nov. 1, Wii U owners who own a Wii Balance Board accessory and have access to a broadband Internet connection will be able to download a free trial version of Wii Fit U from the Nintendo eShop. The trial software is not an abbreviated version of the game – it’s the full Wii Fit U experience. The trial will be downloadable from the Nintendo eShop between Nov. 1, 2013, and Jan. 31, 2014, and will work for 31 days from when it is first played.
Any trial participant who buys a Fit Meter accessory and syncs it to the game will be able to continue playing Wii Fit U forever – a great value for anyone looking to keep calories from Halloween and Thanksgiving at bay. The Fit Meter has many of the same features of modern activity meters, and people can purchase one at select retailers and online at a suggested retail price of $19.99.
