ZeNfA Productions has outlined the upcoming update for ZaciSa’s Last Stand (ZaciSa: Defense of the Crayon Dimension! in Europe). Here’s a look at what’s ahead:
- Further Improvements to the gameplay performance.
- Up to 9 players can control a Drone now! This includes the person on the Wii U GamePad as well as extra controller support like Wii Classic Controller, Pro Controller and 2 people can use a Wii Remote & Nunchuk combo!
- Drones now can fire rockets at enemies! The game has a bit more action to it. Each drone will also have a new look Preview

- Rockets do cost money, so will be powerful per shot.

- Miiverse Stamps! There will be at least 8 stamps for the game in the update. Will act as a sort of Award/Achievement system. Preview
This new update will be made available for free sometime during the winter. We’ll be seeing it in either late 2015 or early 2016.

Here’s the full change log:
- The game has been improved upon to allow for even smoother experience. Even more crazy moments, like multiple Tesla Coils and Triple Enemy spawns barely lag at all.

- Bot Changes:
- Tesla Coil now has slightly increased power.
- Drone now has slightly increased power.

- Game Over Changes
- Money no longer provides as big of bonus to your score as it used to.
- Max score bonus from leftover money is now capped as well.
- Outstanding loans no longer hurt your final score as much either.
- These changes provide some fairness to the game scores.
ZeNfA Productions’ discusses its upcoming slate of games
Posted on 9 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
ZeNfA Productions came out with ZaciSa’s Last Stand last year, but the indie developer has been spending a lot of time improving the game with a number of updates. Now the studio is ready to move on to something new.
The next title from ZeNfA Productions will be “a puzzle-like game that features an in-game level editor that will allow users to create and share new levels with others online,” according to co-founder Greg Wiggleton. There are also future plans for two different platformers. Aside from that, ZaciSa 2 is also something that will happen, though not until “very late 2016” or beyond.
Wiggleton told 8-Worlds News in an interview:
Now that ZaciSa’s Last Stand newest patch is out in North America and ZaciSa: Defense of the Crayon Dimension! is close to coming out in Europe, my next goal is to release my next game and move forward. I’ve been hard at work on my new game for a long while now that I hope to release in a few months. I haven’t revealed it publicly yet, but I can reveal that it is a puzzle-like game that features an in-game level editor that will allow users to create and share new levels with others online. This will be my 1st medium-big game and working hard to make it everything it should be. I should be revealing the game for the 1st time in about a month and am currently looking forward to doing so.
As for 2016 and beyond, I have plans for 2 unique different platformer games. Both of which have been in development and planning for a long while now. Both games are currently being aimed for [the] middle of 2016 or beyond. I also have been planning on a ZaciSa 2 already as well, got big plans for that game. But that is most likely a very late 2016, if not 2017 game.
Though I’m moving on to new things, I still plan to support ZaciSa’s Last Stand for quite some time too. I have another big patch planned for late this year that will introduce a bunch of new maps to the game and other game improvements. I am also currently doing a $20 eShop contest for the game currently to help celebrate the new content and Insanity Mode addition. I plan to do other challenges and paid contests in the future as well for ZaciSa and other future games. I find doing these contests to be really fun.

ZeNfA Productions announced today that the new patch for ZaciSa’s Last Stand is due out this Thursday in North America. The update will bring the game up to version 1.2.
ZaciSa’s Last Stand’s latest patch adds a whole bunch of content and makes a number of changes. The full outline is posted below, along with a trailer.
- 60 FPS Gameplay and other major game improvements.
- 4 Brand New Maps
- PING 1.5+ – Indie Cross-over Map featuring PING 1.5+
- BLOK DROP U – Indie Cross-over Map featuring BLOK DROP U
- GAF – Fun extra map. Be sure to upgrade to GAF GOLD!
- Pollux System – Defend your outpost station orbiting the Pollux Star. Watch out for those solar flares!
- New Game Mode: Insanity Mode
- Focusing the game on speed and the chaos it brings, the mode starts out with faster enemies and more enemies to keep up with. Designed with chaos in mind, each level features a random Special Event that can either help you or harm you. This Special Event can help you, such as enemies for that level having reduced health or enemies giving you double the money or score points. Or, this can possibly sink you with enemies moving at much faster speeds or the dreaded Double or Triple Enemy Spawns to overwhelm you. How lucky are you?
- Online Leaderboards
- All maps will now have Online Leaderboards for each of the following Modes: Hard, Insanity & Endurance.
- Can you crack the top 100?
- Top Five Average!
- Another new Online Leaderboard feature is the Top Five Average! This new ranked feature will take your top 5 Online Scores in each of the eligible modes (Hard, Insanity & Endurance), combine them and average them to get your new score. This combined score will be ranked among others in each of the modes mentioned. Allowing for a new way to face off against your friends and strangers across the world!
- Miiverse Posting
- Want to show off your brand new score on any of the maps? Use the new Mivierse Post button to post to Miiverse! Will automatically attack a screenshot of your game’s map last second before total destruction to show off your strategy.
- New Weapon Bot: Tesla Coil Bot
- Brand new high level bot that zaps at enemies quickly and forms chains to reach enemies well beyond its range. As you increase its chain ability, this will become a very powerful new weapon to unleash on your enemies.
- 2 New Enemies
- Not to be outdone, the enemy has some brand new tricks up it’s sleeves. These brand new enemies are featured later in the game to help ensure their universal dominance.
- Spe’d Bug: A fast little ship that does little damage but is capable at moving fast and is a pro at cutting through your defenses like butter.
- The Destroyer 2.0: The mothership. Even though it’s very slow, its capable of doing a lot of damage to your bases. Better watch out, as it will spawn brand new enemies to distract you.
- 5X Game Speed
- Want to watch each level fly by? Well, now you can. This will allow you to reach higher levels even quicker then before. Due to the chaos in Insanity Mode, 5X Game Speed is omitted however.
- GulAtiCa Bank Loans
- Need a little extra pick-me-up? GulAtiCa’s Services are here to help! For a small service charge of course. Take out a new loan to help fight off those nasty evildoers. While a loan is active, rewarded money & score from enemies is reduced until the loan is paid off. Once the loan is paid off automatically or manually in advance, things will return to normal. Better pay off that loan before gameover though!
- Other various game improvements and changes.

ZaciSa’s Last Stand getting a new update on Monday
Posted on 10 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
A fairly substantial update is coming to ZaciSa’s Last Stand on Monday. The patch will make several improvements/changes, address bugs, and bring along new content.
Here’s a comprehensive overview of the update straight from ZeNfA Productions:
New Content
New Map: Twin Souls
Similar to the map Cir’ce Station, this map features two small bases circling each other eternally. If either base is destroyed, this process balance will be destroyed causing the other base to stop in it’s track and it’s ring to slow down. Due to the fast nature of the enemy, this map features the largest starting money of $1500 to get you started.New Map: Asteroid Mining Station 2
Unlike the map above, this map is simple in comparison. However it does feature four bases this time for you to protect and each of the four corners. Will you protect all four at once or will you sacrifice the rest to save and protect one? Starting money for this map is $800.New Background Graphics: Nebula Ka’tlTa
This map has had it’s background graphics updated to make the map look and feel more like a Nebula might look and feel. The new background is also animated and features the ability to turn off this animated background and keep it still.
