Champion Jockey Special

Famitsu held a live stream yesterday and showed a bunch of footage from Champion Jockey Special on Switch. Watch the full recording below.

Koei Tecmo has published trailers for Winning Post 8 2017 and Champion Jockey Special, which will both launch on the Switch (in Japanese) on September 14. Give them a watch:

Koei Tecmo has announced that, in addition to Champion Jockey Special, the horse racing simulation game Winning Post 8 2017 will also be released on September 14 on the Nintendo Switch. The interesting part is that you can share save data between both games – for example, you can use a horse you raised in Champion Jockey Special as a race horse in Winning Post 8 2017.

An English localization of either game is pretty unlikely, but if can speak Japanese and are a fan of the genre, September 14 looks to be a pretty great day.

Koei Tecmo is bringing Champion Jockey Special to Switch, according to the latest issue of Famitsu.

Koei Tecmo combined the two jockey games from their pre-merger series, Tecmo’s Gallop Racer and Koei’s G2 Jockey, for the Story Mode. Players will debut as a new jockey and compete against rivals. You’ll collect victory stars and aim to be the leading jockey.

The game includes actual data of the Japan Derby until 2017. 2,500 new horses have been added after six years since the previous game.
