Leaks from Nintendo’s archives are starting up again
Have you recovered from the last round of Nintendo leaks? You know, the ones involving a whole bunch of N64 discoveries, Pokemon Diamond/Pearl beta sprites, proposals for a portable GameCube with dock and powerful GameCube successor, and cancelled Game Boy titles (just to name a few). Well, the leaks are starting up yet again.
The latest leaks include a host of different material. They’re related to Pokemon Mystery Dungeon ROMs, Pokemon Ranger ROMs, 3DS tools, and Famicom Disk System lotcheck master ROMs.
What might be most interesting of the bunch of the IRIS SDK. Technically, this is something we’ve known about previously, but haven’t had a whole lot of information about. The cancelled Game Boy Advance SP successor would have featured a dual CPU, the same 3D GPU as the DS, no second screen, no X Y buttons, no touchscreen, no Wi-Fi, and no mic.
In today's #NintendoLeak there is also stuff for IRIS, a cancelled Game Boy Advance SP successor.
There is also a manual in Japanese for it (irisSDKmanja_JP) and it looks like an enhanced Game Boy Advance (primordial Nintendo DS).

I've skimmed through the sdk files and for the most part, it's essentially a GBA with nds hardware, just with a few differences here and there (dual cpu, the same 3d gpu as the DS, no second screen, no X Y buttons, no touchscreen, no WiFi, no mic)

It’ll be interesting to see if anything else comes out about IRIS that’s actually new. In the meantime, we’ve rounded up other findings from today’s leaks below.

I've never seen Balloon Fight on FDS, ever pic.twitter.com/NACIXI3nCP

Basically, when you start Balloon Trip on power up, you will start from Rank 47 instead of 50 on NES.
But on FDS, this seems like it is fixed and starts from Rank 50 every time.— Yakumono (@LuigiBlood) September 30, 2020
A Nintendo leak happened AGAIN a few hours ago on 4chan. Pokemon Mystery, Famicom Disk System lotcheck, 3DS dev tools, and the SDK for the Nintendo IRIS. There are a bunch of images of the Famicom Disk System master disks from Nintendo's archives too! pic.twitter.com/fMTkpR0rTz

So there's a fresh new Nintendo leak, which out of a lot of other things includes a never-released Disk System port of Balloon Fight, so here it is: the first (?) Balloon Fight Famicom disk running on console pic.twitter.com/YFPDKy3Ghv
