Ace Attorney Investigations Collection review

System: Switch
Release date: September 6, 2024
Developer: Capcom
Publisher: Capcom

Although it has been several years since we’ve had a brand new instalment in the franchise, there’s no denying that fans of Ace Attorney have been fairly well catered-to over the last few years. With the arrival of Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, we now have every title in the series (except for the Professor Layton spinoff anyway, which will probably be the next thing we get before a new game) available to us on Switch, including the three that were never released in the West. This collection brings us two entries that take a refreshing approach to the gameplay formula that is definitely worth investigating for fans and newcomers alike.

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have released the next update for Fire Emblem Heroes, version 8.9.0.

This update focuses primarily on Aether Raids, as well as some additional skills for Legendary Heroes.

Here’s the full rundown of the new update:

Hamster will release Lead Angle as the latest Arcade Archives game on Switch, the company announced today. A worldwide release is planned for September 5, 2024.

A new image of the official Zelda timeline has been shared featuring Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom which appears to suggest that the duology are separate from the rest of the current timeline as we know it.

The information has been shared at Nintendo Live 2024, which is currently happening at Sydney, Australia.

Publisher Bushiroad Games and developer FuRyu have announced that they will be releasing Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days 2 worldwide on Switch next year, on January 30. The game is a sequel to competitive card game Cardfight!! Vanguard Dear Days, which released in 2022. The game will feature characters from both the anime series and the previous title.

Since the surprise release of Castlevania Advance Collection I’ve had the question “are we getting a port of the DS titles?” sitting in the back of my mind and surfacing to the forefront every time a Nintendo Direct aired. Of course bringing the DS titles across to the Switch wouldn’t be as simple a task, so it is perhaps understandable that it’s taken three years for Castlevania Dominus Collection to finally make it onto the system. However, now that it’s finally here, the end result is more than worth the wait.

Developer Glowstick Entertainment have announced that they will be bringing Super Dark Deception to Switch. Players interested in the game will be able to pick it up digitally via the eShop starting tomorrow, August 30.

It’s been some time since we last heard about Clock Tower: Rewind, which was announced for Switch release last year and received a limited edition physical pre-order earlier this year via Limited Run Games. Sunsoft have now confirmed that the game will release on Switch in a couple of months, on October 31.

Catch up on the game with an overview below:

August 21 : Publisher Prototype have announced that Stella of the End will receive a Switch release this year in Japan. The visual novel, developed by Key, originally released last year on PC, and received a Western localization, so an overseas release seems likely.
