Nintendo of America has filed a new trademark for Luigi’s Masnion, which does not have any connection to the title for the GameCube. It’s possible that Nintendo will be releasing a New Play Control! version of the game. Or, if we’re lucky, perhaps Nintendo Dream will unveil in their next issue. A man can dream, can’t he?!

Japanese blog Sinobi is reporting that a surprising new entry in an established series will be announced in the next issue of Nintendo Dream. The magazine will be featuring all of Nintendo’s anticipated titles in addition to the mystery game. Nintendo Dream did not give an indication as to what platform the game is for, nor did it provide any hints as to what franchise they are teasing. Apparently the issue with the big news will go on sale in Japan on February 20. For now though, let the guessing game begin!

The Last Story now has been trademarked in three territories – Japan, Europe, and the United States. The common consensus seems to be that The Last Story is actually Last Window and the trademarks may point to a global release of the game. I know some of you would be very happy about that!
