Suda51 happy with critical response to No More Heroes 2

“Yes I am very pleased with the critical reception of No More Heroes 2 so far. We obviously had experience already to create the game for the Wii, so by the time we developed the sequel we knew our way around the system very well.” – Suda51
Overall, the review scores of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle were positive. Many of the complaints from the first title were, fortunately, addressed in the sequel. We’ll probably be waiting awhile for another No More Heroes title, though. Suda51 has indicated that he would like to make a third title for the Wii’s successor.

The following teaser comes from the latest issue of Nintendo Power…
“Next issue is going to be a big one, with brand-new looks at some of the year’s hottest games – including a snazzy new world reveal for Wii! Miss out on this one, and you might as well turn in your Nintendo Fan membership card.”
Unlike most magazine teases, at least we actually know that the game will be for Wii. Nintendo Power definitely delivered a big exclusive this month with Scribblenauts 2. Let’s hope that their next announcement will be equally exciting.

Monster Hunter Tri producer wants “stronger online functionality” in future DS iterations

“I would like to see any future iteration of the DS provide stronger online functionality. Obviously Monster Hunter games rely very heavily on network gaming and if there is anything that could be improved I would have the online side high on my list.” – Monster Hunter Tri producer Ryozo Tsujimoto
It would be interesting if a Monster Hunter game was released on the successor to the DS. However, Tsujimoto wouldn’t say if there would be a MH title on the system even if it could do more with online.

Scribblenauts 2
– Announced in Nintendo Power
– Fixing a lot of the problems with the first game
– Improved controls
– Max won’t knock things over anymore, direct control over him
– D-pad controls
– Craig’s biggest problem with Scribblenauts is that there were elaborate level designs, but players can do what they want and not really know what the developers had in mind
– Adjectives have been added
– Fall release
– It looks like you can double up on adjectives
– Can make things bigger and smaller
– Craig says the first game worked well as a short demo
– Sold well enough to warrant a sequel, not something a lot of DS games get a chance at
