Kingdom Hearts 3D most likely being developed by Birth by Sleep team

On the DS, h.a.n.d. has created the Kingdom Hearts game. For Nintendo’s next handheld, though, it seems that there will be a developer switch.
“Right now we can’t say much about it. All I can say is that the Kingdom Hearts for 3DS will not be a port, but a new game. It will probably be developed by the team who was in charge of Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, the Osaka team.” – Tetsuya Nomura, Director of the Kingdom Hearts franchise

Square Enix is developing Mario Sports Mix

Here’s a piece of interesting news. According to a page from Nintendo’s Japanese E3 site, Square Enix is developing Mario Sports Mix. This won’t be the companies first work with a Mario sports game, however. Square Enix also created Mario Hoops 3-on-3 for the DS, which was released in 2006.

This information comes from the Iwata Asks interview with Masahiro Sakurai…
– Discussions between Sakurai and Iwata began in July 2008
– Sakurai was the first developer outside Nintendo to see the 3DS
– Sakurai wanted to make something traditional, yet new at the same time
– Play with the slider pad
– L button is for firing
– Use stylus to aim
– Sakurai wants to make the controls simple
– Can fly for five minutes
– Get to land battle destination, then fights on land
– Can get through the game without having to defeat every enemy
– For casual and hardcore gamers
