Super World Court is this week’s Arcade Archives game on Nintendo Switch

For the latest Arcade Archives release on Nintendo Switch, it’s been announced that Super World Court is on the way. The game launches tomorrow, May 29.
Super World Court comes from Namco having originally launched in 1993. The sports title is a sequel to Pro Tennis World Court.

January 14: Soma, Amnesia: Rebirth, and Amnesia: The Bunker have all been announced for upcoming release on Nintendo Switch. This comes as part of a new partnership between Abylight and Frictional Games. Release dates weren’t announced, but they’ll presumably be arriving later in 2025.

Dysmantle getting physical release on Nintendo Switch

10tons is celebrating a sales milestone for Dysmantle with a new physical release on Nintendo Switch.
Since launch, the game has sold over two million copies. It will now be receiving a physical release in Europe where it’s set to come out on June 27, 2025. Currently there’s no word on a boxed version for North America, but importing is an option.
Nintendo Switch update 20.1.0 out now, patch notes

May 27: The latest firmware update for Nintendo Switch, version 20.1.0, is now available to download.
While it’s not a massive upgrade, it does go beyond the typical stability improvements we typically see. The notable changes involve the Parental Control settings and the sound for the Nintendo Switch Online app launcher.

As a bit of an unexpected surprise, Animal Crossing: New Horizons just received a new version 2.0.7 update.
Nintendo Switch 2 is just on the horizon, and this is what that patch is intended for. According to Nintendo, compatibility for multiplayer sessions between its two consoles will be improved with the update.
Civilization 7 1.2.1 update announced, patch notes

A new 1.2.1 update has been announced for Civilization 7, which will be on Nintendo Switch soon. It’s slated for early June to coincide with the new Nintendo Switch 2 version.
The update brings along the new Pangaea Plus Map Type, several balance passes to leaders and civs, an expanded human player limit in multiplayer, and addresses a number of player-reported issues. The team is also continuing to improve the UI, refine AI behavior to make opponents more competitive, and tighten up overall game polish.

Marvelous USA talks putting full games on Nintendo Switch 2 cartridges, says it was “the right decision for us and our relationship with our fanbase”

Many third-party publishers are opting to launch their Nintendo Switch 2 titles as game-key card releases, but Marvelous is one of the few exceptions. Thus far, everything it has announced will be on a proper cartridge. That includes Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma, Story of Seasons: Grand Bazaar, and Daemon x Machina: Titanic Scion.
Ken Berry, co-founder and president/CEO of Marvelous USA/XSEED Games, haw now further discussed the situation in an interview with RPG Site. Although it wasn’t “an easy decision”, the company felt “our fans would much prefer the ROM option.”

A few days remain until the official Nintendo Switch 2 launch, but unsurprisingly, reports are starting to surface of some fans getting their hands on the system early. The thing is, it’s not actually functional right now.
YouTuber a2dubai posted a quick video showing an “unboxing” of the unit. There’s actually not much to see, however. We get a look at the main device and the Joy-Con 2, but that’s pretty much it.

SEGA is back with a brand new trailer for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance focusing on the game’s story. As part of that, we get a closer look at the premise as well as some mysterious new characters, setting the scene for ninja master Joe Musashi’s quest for vengeance.
