– Silver Surfer’s board is shattered into cosmic bricks
– Loki and other villains are going after it in the game’s story
– Need to find and reclaim the bricks before the villains get a hold of them, and before the Surfer’s scouting mission develops into a much larger threat
– One segment has Iron Man and the Hulk fighting against the Sandman in Grand Central Station and the streets of New York
– Another second: Thor, Human Torch, Wolverine, and Captain America venture across the Rainbow Bridge to fight Loki and the frost giants in the halls of Asgard
– Hulk can move heavy objects
– Spider-Man can use his webs to pull switches and levers
– Iron Man can choose multiple targets with his missiles
– Human Torch can melt ice
– Thor can power up switches
– Loki can control NPCs and make them activate switches
– Players built kits, collect coins, smash objects
– Captain America’s shield can deflect weapons
– Spider-Man and Wolverine each have special sense powers that reveal new, hidden interactions in the environment
– Loki has the power to create false copies of himself to confuse the heroes
– Wolverine turns into an animated adamantium skelton who continues fighting when he loses all his hearts
– Mr. Fantastic can turn into a teapot
– Play through 18 heroes in story mode
– Unlock additional heroes for free play
– Some heroes become available through the course of play, others you’ll have to find and buy
– New characters can be accessed in the Manhattan hub
– In the hub, you can wander around the streets, interact with civilians and cars, or head off to any of a number of points of interest – from the Raft to the Baxter Building to the Avengers’ Mansion to Central Park
– Can visit the editor of the Daily Bugle to pick up specific challenges to complete across the city

Update: North American page is open as well.

While there isn’t much to see currently, Nintendo has launched their official European and Japanese pages for its E3 2013 Nintendo Direct.

Mentioned on the latter is that Nintendo will highlight games in the broadcast that will be on display at this year’s E3.

While Wii U support from third-parties dwindle, there’s one publisher that continues to take an active approach. Ubisoft has supported the console since launch and continues to put out some of its most-important games.

Much has been made about poor Wii U sales in recent months. However, Ubisoft EMEA exec director Alain Corre told MCV that just one game could turn the system around.

Corre said:

“It takes time for a machine to establish itself. We’ve seen in the past that when more games come, the console picks up. That is what we believe will happen for Wii U. There is a place in the market for each console, and with the right games Wii U will find its public and sell in the long-term.”

“One single game can change a platform’s fortunes – it happened for the DS, it happened for the Super Nintendo. I believe it can be the same for Wii U.”

The new Zelda: A Link to the Past game on 3DS and Zelda Wii U title will both introduce brand new elements.

When it comes to the Link to the Past sequel, Aonuma said that it “will play very differently to the original.” The development team is adding in “new additions” that “will make players see the game in a different way.”

Aonuma also spoke very briefly about Nintendo’s original Zelda Wii U game, which will “introduce even more unexpected elements”.

Aonuma told EDGE this month:

“The new game (A Link To The Past 2) will play very differently to the original. I think the new additions will make players see the game in a different way. And, of course, we’ll introduce even more unexpected elements in the Zelda game that we’re making for Wii U.”

Wii U

– Players can share and charge up items by sending them into Miiverse and sharing them with others around the world
– Wii U support mode has the second player piloting controlled gadgets to help Sonic by destroying enemies and obstacles
– Wii U multiplayer lets one person play on the GamePad and another person on the TV

3DS

– 3DS exclusive Special Stages has you tilting the system to navigate through levels; collect Chaos Emeralds in these levels
– Create and customize radio controlled gadgets to help Sonic
– Local and online multiplayer confirmed

Up until now, Disney Infinity’s Play Sets have been limited to Monsters University, The Incredible, Cars, and Pirates of the Caribbean. A fifth Play Set was finally announced today: “The Lone Ranger”.

Players will be able to control Lone Ranger or Tonto “as they set out to bring Butch Cavendish and his gang of outlaws to justice.”

Gameplay highlights include:

· Ricochet Combat: The outlaws in the play set are clever and will seek to hide behind cover or ambush the player whenever they can. Fortunately, a unique ricochet mechanic allows both Lone Ranger and Tonto to hit the bad guys indirectly and around corners by lining up shots that bounce off of pots, pans, bells, posts, or other metal objects.

· Mounts: Players will find traversing the Wild West and the areas surrounding the town of Colby to be much quicker on the Lone Ranger and Tonto’s iconic steeds of Silver and Scout or any one of the other many horses that can be found throughout the play set.

· Train Defense and Customization: He who controls the railroad, controls the West. In the Lone Ranger play set, players can build and customize their own train, complete from the trim on the wheels, to the painting on the cars. A key part of the gameplay revolves around building up the train and getting the right resources to the right locations.

· Toy Box: In addition to these game mechanics, the Lone Ranger play set also allows players to bring in all the buildings, mounts, weapons and other surprises into the Toy Box so that players can include their own wild west gameplay into their imaginative scenarios.
