Fractured Soul has been approved
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Fractured Soul has finally been approved, according to the game’s Facebook page.
It still doesn’t have a release date, but receiving approval from Nintendo is one of the final steps of the process. Now that this step has been completed, we could be seeing Fractured Soul on the eShop soon.
“Some good news: Fractured Soul has been approved by Nintendo today. We still don’t have a solid release date yet, but it couldn’t take too long for us to be given one… could it??”

Nintendo of Europe makes some neat New Super Mario Bros. 2 print ads
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
The images above appear to be officially-made New Super Mario Bros. 2 print adverts from Nintendo of Europe. I have no idea if they’re in magazines or anything like that, but they’re neat nonetheless.
Thanks to Jake for the tip.
[Review] Heroes of Ruin – It’s Gauntlet, only with more “being good” and less “charming goof”
Posted on 12 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in 3DS, Features, Reviews | 0 comments
Never heard of Heroes of Ruin? Check out this launch trailer!
It was a very long time ago that I first played Gauntlet Legends on Nintendo 64. For some reason it sits in my mind as one of those “N64 classics” despite not REALLY doing anything revolutionary at the time. Maybe it’s the really funny running animations? Still, it was fun, but thinking back it really wasn’t as good as I remember. Terrible? No, not at all. Just not great.
Then comes along the latest game from n-Space, Heroes of Ruin. I remember playing it at E3 last year and not being terribly impressed, but when I got back from L.A. it seemed like people were raving about it left and right, saying it was going to be the 3DS’s Diablo, or a true game for those that have been waiting on that old Gauntlet DS game that got cancelled. But is it?
Sort of.
Pixel Entertainment clarifies Starbeast project, has 3DS eShop game in the works
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii, Wii U | 0 comments
Pixel Entertainment has sent us some information clarifying the development of Starbeast and the studio’s other projects.
Starbeast is said to be in a “very early stage in development.” Its slow creation process allowed the team “to fine tune every detail.”
At one point, the game was indeed coming to Wii. But when Pixel Entertainment heard about Wii U, the team decided to switch Starbeast to the new console.
The information we posted over the weekend is outdated. It’s “very different now, due to the extra time.”
Pixel put the project on hold in January. This allowed for the development of a simpler, unannounced 3DS eShop game. Once this new title is done – and we should be hearing about it within a month – development will switch back to Starbeast and a formal announcement will be made before year’s end.

“Toki Tori’s USA debut on 3DS virtual console is getting close guys. We’ll let you know when we have the official date!”

Shantae is still coming to the 3DS Virtual Console
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
I’m not entirely sure why this is being treated as new news since it’s been confirmed many times before, but Nintendo Power has once again stated that Shantae is on its way to the Virtual Console.
The magazine could be basing its information on a report from June. When we heard about the title a few months back, WayForward said it would be submitting Shantae to the ESRB. Once that was all taken care of, Nintendo would decide when the game would hit the store.
Nintendo Power doesn’t bring any new information to the table, but let’s hope that Shantae will finally show up on the 3DS eShop soon.
