Square Enix sent out another round of Dragon Quest VIII details today. We have information about the Skill Master System, skills for Red and Morrie, monsters, and the High Speed battle mode. Head past the break for all of today’s details, courtesy of Gematsu’s translation.

Wired is the latest outlet to have published an article with commentary from Nintendo producer Kensuke Tanabe. Tanabe discussed Metroid Prime: Federation Force in-depth, including how it’s more than just a shooter, bits about the story (and how it’s important to Prime’s overall plot), how it’s players’ “first chance to actually see Samus in-game”, and more. He also again touched on wanting to continue the Prime series after the ending of the third game.

Game Critics has announced its nominees for the “Best of E3 2015” awards. There are a few Nintendo nominees, such as Super Mario Maker as “Best Console Game” and Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam as “Best Handheld Game”.

A look at Detective Tobias Gregson in The Great Ace Attorney

Famitsu has another feature on The Great Ace Attorney just ahead of the game’s Japanese launch. We’re introduced to Detective Tobias Gregson, a member of the Holmes canon.
Information about Tobias should leak out tomorrow. Famitsu also promises interviews with the game’s developers and play impressions from the first two episodes.

A few details about 7th Dragon III Code: VFD have made their way out of this week’s issue of Famitsu. Here’s what we know thus far:
– Could be the last entry in the series
– Described by Famitsu as “end of the play”
– Set in the past, present, and future
– Choose from 8 jobs and 32 appearances for your character
– This is the most in the series thus far
– Themes for the game’s jobs are divided among its three settings (past, present, and future)
– Over 40 types of battle voices
– 77 percent complete
– Out on October 15
– 5,990 yen
Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns coming to 3DS

Bandai Namco brought Pro Yakyuu Famista 2011 to 3DS (pictured above) a few years back. The series will be appearing on Nintendo’s handheld once again in the form of “Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns”, according to this week’s issue of Famitsu.
Here’s what we know thus far:
– Major evolutions to the game modes
– Over 500 baseball players using the latest data from 2015
– The online mode has been enhanced
– Online allows for players to have ranked matches with users around the country
– There is a function to match you against players of your own rank
– “Famista Quest”: go around Japan while competing against a rival team controlled by mysterious aliens
Pro Yakyuu Famista Returns launches in Japan on October 8 for 5,690 yen.
Project X Zone 2 heading to Japan on November 12

Famitsu has an update on Project X Zone 2 this week, including a Japanese release date.
Project X Zone 2 launches in Japan on November 12. Bandai Namco is also preparing some first-print bonuses and a limited edition, which have been detailed as follows:
– Challenge map DLC titled The Girl from 10 Years Ago
– This gives the special item called “Black Hot Pants” upon clearing it
– A special 3DS theme will also be part of the first-print bonus
– Limited edition for 9,980 yen
– This is the “Original Game Sound Edition”
– Limited edition has a special feature that lets you play using over 60 tracks from the first Project X Zone game
– The limited edition also includes a DLC for “Valkyrie no Boken: Toki no Kagi Densetsu with Xiaomu”
– Basically a special arrangement for Valkyrie no Boken that makes Xiaomu playable
– Special 3DS theme called “Namco X Capcom 10th Anniversary” included in the limited edition version
Famitsu also has information about Project X Zone 2’s new “Mirage Cancel” battle system. By pressing the “B” button during a regular attack, players can cancel it and enter slow motion so that critical hits can performed more easily.
