The Super Mario Accessory Box has been added in as a new reward on Club Nintendo. You can grab the item here for 700 coins.

Japan received the same reward last week. It can be used to organize games and accessories in a “sturdy” box.

Nintendo says that there’s a “limited quantity” of the reward available, so use your coins while you can.

The next release in First 4 Figures’ “Sonic the Hedgehog Modern Line” is none other than Shadow the Hedgehog. Only 600 pieces will be produced worldwide.

First 4 Figures’ Shadow the Hedgehog statue is 15.5 inches tall, and will retail for $229.99. It’ll be available sometime during Q4 2013.

I’m not going to lie: this may go down as the dumbest and possibly worst-produced thing I’ve ever posted on Nintendo Everything.

But now that we’re a little over a week removed from the latest Nintendo Direct and the E3 presentation hype is in full swing, I thought it’d be fun to take a look back at the May 17th broadcast.

This originally started out as a plain summary, but that changed a bit (okay, a lot) as I continued working on the video. So it’s “kind of” a summary. Or something.

Watch it and let me know what you think. This was my first attempt at anything video-related ever. Hopefully it wasn’t too terrible!

Could Disney be up to something with Maniac Mansion? Lucasarts, under guidance of parent company Disney, registered four trademarks relating to the name on May 22. Each pertains to “video game software; computer programs and software”.

There hasn’t been much news on the Maniac Mansion front since the original title came out well over two decades ago. It’d be pretty neat to see a resurrection!

Nintendo’s new NERD division, founded from the basis of Mobiclip, will act as more of a technology investigator. Whereas the teams at Nintendo’s headquarters need to be focus on creating software, NERD plans to look into aspects such as GPGPU powered cloud computing.

NERD CTO Alexandre Delattre said during the most-recent Nintendo Direct:

“The developers at Nintendo headquarters need to spend their time developing the actual platform, so I think we’d like to explore areas that they don’t have time for. For example the possibilities which are opened up by the combination of cloud technologies and new software paradigms like general purpose GPU programming.”

One interesting point: NERD has been hiring researchers in the field of cloud technology, heterogenous computing, and GPGPU development.
