Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in 3DS, Guides, Switch | 0 comments
Shiny hunting is one of the best ways to squeeze additional hours out of Pokemon games. Almost every single Pokemon is obtainable in its Shiny form in one way or another. That being said, there are a handful of Pokemon – mostly of the Legendary and Mythical varieties – that are completely unavailable in this form without hacking. If you’re curious, we’ve compiled a list of every Shiny locked Pokemon in 2024.
How to play Rainmaker in Splatoon 3
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
There are four main ranked modes in Splatoon 3: Splat Zones, Tower Control, Clam Blitz, and Rainmaker. Today, we’re looking at the latter. Generally speaking, Rainmaker is easier to understand (and coordinate) than Clam Blitz. Of all the ranked modes in the game, Rainmaker matches have the potential to end quicker than all the others.

How to play Clam Blitz in Splatoon 3
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
Of all the ranked modes in Splatoon 3, Clam Blitz is perhaps the most hit-or-miss. Not because there’s anything wrong with the mode, but because it’s somewhat poorly explained for players who haven’t played it before. Some even consider Clam Blitz the toughest ranked mode, so we’ve written up a guide on how to play it. There’s a lot to like about this mode once you get the hang of it.

7 Star Meganium guide for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
The 7 Star Meganium Tera Raid Battle event for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is live now. It’s a little bit easier than some of the raid events we’ve seen recently, but it still poses a decent challenge on its own. The event runs until April 7, and then comes back from April 12 to April 14. If you don’t have any Pokemon ready for the first wave, you’ve got a few days to train up a counter. We’ve put together a couple of good suggestions for the event below.

Articuno location guide for Pokemon Scarlet and Violet
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
Today, we’re finishing up our coverage of returning Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with an Articuno location guide. As a reminder, you can only catch returning Legendary Pokemon after clearing The Indigo Disk’s main story. If you don’t have the DLC, you won’t be able to catch any of them.
Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are the original trio of Legendary Pokemon introduced in the very first generation. As with most of their catchable appearances, none of these Pokemon are exclusive to either Pokemon Scarlet or Violet – you can catch all three Legendary birds regardless of the game you’re playing.

Easy Shiny Pokemon to catch before Pokemon Bank closes
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in 3DS, DS, Guides | 0 comments
It’s not too long now until the near-complete closure of the Nintendo 3DS’ online services in April. Though most online games are closing their doors, Pokemon Bank is sticking around for a little while longer. That being said, we have no idea when exactly it will close – but we’d estimate it won’t be around for more than another year. If you’re looking to pad out your collection with some easy Shiny Pokemon, we’ve put together a list of easier Shiny hunts you can do before Pokemon Bank closes sometime in the near future. They all take place in past Pokemon games, and we’ll be including lots of different games here.

The most difficult Splatoon 3 Badges to earn
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
In the past, we’ve written several guides on how to 100 percent complete certain Nintendo games. Side Order was actually one of them! While it’s entirely possible to 100 percent clear Side Order as well as the main story mode, it’s pretty much impossible to truly 100 percent finish Splatoon 3 itself. This is thanks to its Badge system – there are several tasks in the game that you can complete to earn them to display on your profile. Several Splatoon 3 Badges, however, are incredibly difficult to earn. They’re also incredibly time-consuming – we’re talking thousands of hours here – and today we’ve written a list of some of the toughest Badges to earn in Splatoon 3.

Today, we’re nearly wrapping up our coverage of Legendary Pokemon in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet’s Indigo Disk DLC with a Moltres location guide. As a reminder, you can only catch returning Legendary Pokemon after you clear The Indigo Disk’s main story. They’re unavailable for capture in the base game.
Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres are the original trio of Legendary Pokemon introduced in the very first generation. As with most of their catchable appearances, none of these Pokemon are exclusive to Pokemon Scarlet or Pokemon Violet – you can catch all three Legendary birds regardless of the game you’re playing.

How to beat Horrorboros in Splatoon 3
Posted on 9 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
A while back, we published a guide on how to beat Megalodontia in Splatoon 3 and it’s time to talk about the other King Salmonids – particularly, how to defeat Horrorboros in Splatoon 3’s Salmon Run mode.
Horrorboros is perhaps the easiest King Salmonid to defeat of the three currently available in the game. Unlike Cohozuna and Megalodontia, Horrorboros is a flying enemy that attacks from above. It opens its mouth and starts blowing up a green balloon that looks like one you’d see on a Steelhead enemy. Once the balloon is blown up, it will unleash a Booyah Bomb on the ground that inks and damages everything in its path. Fortunately, the attack itself is incredibly telegraphed and easy to avoid – it’s taking down Horrorboros itself that can sometimes be a little tricky. If you’re looking to take down this King Salmonid, then let’s get right into our Horrorboros guide.

How to hunt Shiny Zygarde in Pokemon Sword and Shield
Posted on 10 months ago by Ethan in Guides, Switch | 0 comments
Playing Pokemon Sword and Shield in 2024 might sound sort of strange, but there’s actually a really good reason for it. Pokemon Legends: Z-A was recently announced for release in 2025, and it’s almost certainly going to include Zygarde in some capacity. To “prepare” for the release of the new game, some Pokemon trainers are heading back to Sword and Shield to Shiny hunt Zygarde.
Outside of events, Pokemon Sword and Shield is the only game in which you can legitimately hunt for a Shiny Zygarde. More specifically, you can only go after one in the Crown Tundra’s DLC Max Lair. This is kind of a brutal Shiny hunt, but we’ve come prepared with tips and tricks on beating Dynamax Zygarde every time.
