The Wii U version of Toki Tori 2 is coming along. Developer Two Tribes gave an update on the game today, noting that the team has just started to implement the level editor.

The studio wrote:

“Today, the 1st draft Wii U specific level editor was implemented. It’s a proof of concept, so no promises yet! But it looks promising! You basically see everything you add on the gamepad being added to a paused version of the game on your TV. Switch! And Play! It is still early though, it is based on our internal PC editor but simplified and more limited in scope.”

There’s still a glimmer of hope that The Binding of Isaac could come to the 3DS. Ed McMillen gives it a 50% chance of happening.

McMillen also ruled out the possibility of bringing the original Super Meat Boy to the 3DS.

But what about the iOS version, known as “Super Meat Boy: The Game”? McMillen believes there’s a 25% chance that it could happen.

Amazon is listing an Epic Mickey dual pack for release in France. It would contain two games: the original Epic Mickey and Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two.

Disney hasn’t officially confirmed this product for France or any other territory. If it does come out, it’ll be available on November 19.

An unannounced medieval RPG could be heading to the Wii U. The console is mentioned in a French job posting.

Take a look at this rough translation:

  • Unannounced big budget (multi million dollar/euro) Fantasy Medieval Role-Playing is in the works.
  • The game is for PC / Mac / console.   It is currently in pre-production.
  • The job listing mentions “innovative peripherals (including Wii U)”.  Wii U is the only console mentioned on the job listing.
  • IS is a company being created based in Montreuil, Paris (France).
  • The team is mainly composed of veterans of the gaming industry and has an internationally recognized expertise in the field.
  • Job listing says details will be announced to the press, between October and December 2012.
  • Offers Pre-employment training : Only one student per class maximum.

Another posting was discovered on DeviantArt, and it sounds very much like the first one:

“We’re currently looking for freelances high poly 3D artists.
The project is a video game, an heroic fantasy RPG with higly detailled armors (~500 000 polys per character).  It’s not for real time, rather for rendering, 3D printing and other things of the same kind.

It’s a big project with a big budget (several millions dollars), but also with a lot of work.  Compensation will depend on quality and percentage of completion, from hundreds to thousands of dollars per character.“

Marc Kruzic appears to be behind this unannounced title as the game’s creator. He’s a project manager at Earthlings Games, and was involved with EA and Chillingo for a number of interactive storytelling children games for the iPad/iPhone/Android.
