Japanese Fire Emblem: Awakening DLC details for November 1

Next week’s Fire Emblem: Awakening DLC release in Japan is titled “Another Story: Summer of Bonds”. It’s due out on November 1.
The two star, 200 yen download is set in a resort. Anna, a merchant, invites Krom and his crew to a beach retreat in hopes of repaying them for their courageous efforts in saving different worlds. The fun gets cut short when plunderers appear.
In the DLC, parent characters will converse with each other and My Unit is able to initiate special scenes with Krom, Gaia, Sariya and Tiamo – all of whom are wearing swimsuits.

DreamRift interested in returning to Monster Tale

DreamRift is very much interested in making a follow-up to Monster Tale.
Monster Tale was the studio’s first-ever game, released last year. While DreamRift has been hard at work on Epic Mickey: Power of Illusion, founder and creative director Peter Ong showed openness when asked about a sequel to the DS title.
Ong said:
“I can’t say too much right now regarding Monster Tale’s future, although we have exciting ideas for it. Anything is possible, either with a publisher or through other avenues such as the eShop. We definitely hold a special place in our hearts for [Monster Tale] with it being our first full creation at DreamRift, and we’d love to bring it back.”
As far as what DreamRift will develop next, Ong said that’s up to the fans.
“It’ll be the support of the fans … that will ultimately determine what DreamRift makes.”

Dragon Quest X Wii U beta to begin in February

Square Enix is planning to launch a beta for the Wii U version of Dragon Quest X early next year. It was revealed on today’s Japanese Nintendo Direct that the test is officially set for February 2013. Consumers who purchase the Wii U Premium Sets will receive a voucher to participate in the beta.
The Nintendo Direct broadcast outlined a few other Wii U-specific details as well. It will, of course, feature HD visuals and use of the GamePad, which will house a transparent keyboard. Players will be able to import their character data from the Wii game as the two versions are housed on the same servers.
