After debuting on the Nintendo Channel over two years ago, Nintendo Week has finally come to an end.
In a rather surprising and immediate announcement, Gary announced his departure at the end of the latest episode. That was followed up with a string of text which states:
“Thanks for watching Nintendo Week! We’ve had a great time bringing you the latest news about Nintendo games and hardware, and we hope that you’ll keep playing Nintendo games!”
The Nintendo Show 3D will not be affected. It will continue to run on a biweekly basis on the eShop.

Bravely Default’s name explained, other details
Posted on 12 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
We weren’t quite sure what to make of Bravely Default’s name when Square Enix revealed the project late last year. Believe it or not, there is a meaning to it!
According to scenario writer Naotaka Hayashi (Steins;Gate) and producer Tomoya Asano, “Bravely Default” means “Have courage and renounce the promises and responsibilities that are expected of you.” You can think of this phrase as acting on your own intuition rather than simply following other people’s requests and demands. As many of you know, Bravely Default has a “Flying Fairy” subtitle, but neither Hayashi nor Asano commented on the meaning behind it.
The name talk was one of many topics discussed in a Famitsu.com interview. Hayashi and Asano commented on a few other things such as the starting point for Bravely Default. A roundup of the discussion can be found below.

Hironobu Sakaguchi has repeated what he’s said previously regarding a sequel to The Last Story. Basically, he has no plans for a followup.
If there were to be a sequel though, Sakaguchi believes “that any direction could be possible.” As you’ll read below, Sakaguchi would even be willing to make it “a completely online game”.
“I have no plans for making a sequel at the moment, so I haven’t really thought about any ideas for such a game. If I were to make a sequel, though, I think that any direction could be possible. I feel that it might also be fun for it to be a completely online game!”
