No more E3 3DS trailers after July 7
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
Admittedly, the 3DS eShop is a bit of a pain in that you have to manually download certain trailers to the system’s menu. So for E3, Nintendo published a bunch of different trailers including Luigi’s Mansion 2, Mario Kart 3D, and Super Mario 3D, but you have to download them all one by one.
Still, it’s better than not having them at all. For some reason though, Nintendo will only be keeping the trailers on the shop until July 7. That’s a pretty silly idea, if you ask me! Why not just keep them on there?
Thanks to Jake for the tip!

Anyone decide to purchase this game today? It’s getting some mixed reviews, though it sounds like it still has some enjoyable content.
Dragon Quest Collection boxart, has Dragon Quest X footage, bonus items
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Dragon Quest Collection has a final release date of September 15 in Japan. It’ll cost ¥4,440. But what’s really interesting is that the disc will contain the first footage ever of Dragon Quest X, a new title in the series that has been in development for about three years.
That news alone will probably ensure that the game will sell a ton of copies (and the fact that’s it’s Dragon Quest). However, Square Enix is preparing to ship it will other bonuses. Here’s a rundown of what fans can expect, courtesy of Andriasang:
Famicom Shinken Guide Reprint
A reprinting of a classic guides for DQI, II and III, totaling 130 pages. This was produced with the cooperation of Shueisha. The content is unchanged from the original versions.
“Small Medal” Recreation
A recreation of a classic DQ series item. This will be included only as a first print run bonus.
Dragon Quest Art Collection
This collection has artwork and development materials. It will be included on the game disc.
25th Anniversary DQI, II and II Opening Anime
This will show when you load up the game disc. The newly produced animation is from Kamikaze Douga, which also did the animation for Dragon Quest IX and Dragon Quest Monsters Battle Road Victory.

Rune Factory 4 announced for 3DS
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News | 0 comments
After a brief appearance on consoles, Rune Factory is returning to handhelds. Specifically, Rune Factory 4 has been announced for 3DS. The reveal comes from this week’s Famitsu. Scans and details aren’t available just yet, but keep checking back for further information. While you wait, here’s what Rune Factory series producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto said about the 3DS back in November:
“There are certainly a lot of different things I could think of wanting to add. Since it’d be in 3D, I’d want to make it feel as if you are actually walking through this fantasy world. I’d want to make farming a more realistic, 3D experience. Dating would have scenes entirely in 3D. I really can’t think of going one-by-one here; I know I’d want to go at it and put a lot of different things in.”

Even Amazon is posting about Operation Rainfall on their Twitter
Posted on 13 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
Xenoblade, or should I say Monado: Beginning of the World – shot up the Amazon charts over the weekend. It actually took the top spot as the best-selling video game on the site over the weekend. It’s still hanging in the top ten.
Given Xenoblade’s success and attention on Amazon, I suppose it was inevitable that even the retailer said something about “Operation Rainfall” on their Twitter account. Earlier today, the following message was posted:
“If you were curious about Monado (Xenoblade) for Wii, @IGN has a nice article up in support of @OpRainfall. http://go.ign.com/jrDA2f”
