“Right now we have just completed Spirit Tracks, [and] I am in the mindset that we have created the most enjoyable Zelda game ever.” – Eiji Aonuma

I know one thing for sure: Spirit Tracks is much, much better than the CD-i Zelda games! I also have a feeling that Spirit Tracks will be more enjoyable than Phantom Hourglass, for me at least. I’m very pleased that you can skip previously cleared areas in the Spirit Tower. Being forced to go through the same places in Temple of the Ocean King over and over was one of my main gripes with the last DS Zelda.

Nintendo has been slouching on N64 releases for the Wii Virtual Console, but it looks like things are beginning to change. The original Super Smash Bros. is already confirmed to be releasing this year and Ogre Battle 64, a classic Nintendo 64 game, has been rated by the OFLC. This is an Australian rating, but it could mean that the title will release in other territories in the near future.

Your Shape Featuring Jenny McCarthy Now In Stores In North America

SAN FRANCISCO, USA – November 24, 2009 – Ubisoft® today announced that its ground-breaking new fitness title, Your Shape(TM) Featuring Jenny McCarthy is now available at retail. Leveraging an entirely new, motion-sensing camera peripheral for the Wii(TM) system from Nintendo, Your Shape Featuring Jenny McCarthy is the first fitness video game that enables people to experience a comprehensive workout controller-free.

The camera, which is included with the game, provides a completely personalized and interactive workout by scanning players’ bodies, assessing their current fitness level and then projecting their images onto the TV. Once the player completes an initial fitness test, the game is able to completely personalize their workout routine to their fitness level as well as their personal fitness goals and schedule. And, with the innovative new motion-tracking technology, the game is able to follow a player’s movements as they workout, and guide them in real time so that they know whether or not they’re doing the exercises correctly.

21 November 2009 – Rising Star Games, Europe’s most prolific publisher of Japanese-originated games, will begin 2010 with a bang, as the publisher announces its first eight titles for its first quarter of next year.??

Rising Star Games’ first-quarter releases – confirmed to Hoshi members ( HYPERLINK “http://www.risingstargames.com/hoshi” “_new” www.risingstargames.com/hoshi) last night – cover all formats and all genres. Including one title from affiliate label Gamebridge, the release schedule offers staggering diversity, and include the firm’s first Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 titles.

On Saturday, while it was the five year anniversary of the Nintendo DS’ original release in North America, the DSi XL launched in Japan. Famitsu has reported on the system’s first two days of sales and has determined that it sold 103,524 in two days. It should be noted that this data is from Enterbrain and not Media Create, which is sometimes a more trustworthy source for sales numbers. Still, it seems as though the handheld is off to a fairly good start, especially considering that the handheld isn’t a major upgrade to the DSi.
