Today and Tomorrow Channel launching in Europe tomorrow
Posted on 15 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments
This channel has been out in Europe for quite awhile, so this isn’t a completely new channel. No word yet if this will be releasing in North America as well.
8 September 2009 – Check your daily fortune and get hints on relationships, activities and even the types of food that your horoscope recommends with the free Today & Tomorrow Channel, launching on Wii in Europe on 9 September.
Your friends and family can join in the fun, as up to six people can take part by registering their Mii character and date of birth. You will all then receive a detailed daily fortune in five categories: love, work, study, communications and money. The next day’s fortune is displayed every evening, so you can check ahead of time before a big day.
As well as providing your fortune, the Today & Tomorrow Channel can also give you lifestyle tips, including activities that can improve your daily life and suggestions about what to eat, all based on your horoscope. You can even check the compatibility of different Mii characters for the day. Use this feature to see how you will get along with your friends and family – could be useful if you are planning a long car journey!

Monster Hunter 3 details

– hunter data can be stored in the Wiimote, then used in 2p Arena mode
– game from scratch, proud of “rich, breathing, living” ecology system (small monsters grouping against big ones, item reaction, etc)
– main reason for the game being on the Wii: you have Classic for MH fans and intuitive Nunchuk for new players. Not just because of waggle, but they love the not rigid, claustrophobic part of it (with separated, relaxed hands).
– They know voice chat is a minimum for western users.
– Community side growing step by step. They’re seeing people from the UK, for example, posting for meeting and playing. They’d love to expand the MH Festa concept and decide the best hunter in the world.
– “great to hear!” praise/pressure feeling from Team Zelda. A lot of time spent in visuals. They think they’re the best on the Wii.
– they need new challenges to think about other platforms. Now, they’re very happy with this controls and I+D team say you can’t go back to classic.
– Conversations with Nintendo about western promotion haven’t started. “We’ll request all of that!” (asked about merchandise, black controller, etc).
– They explained Kurupecco cry-mimic capabilities. And if you show the torch to your cats, they’ll start dancing.
Some graphical effects have been removed from Metroid Prime Trilogy

There doesn’t appear to be a huge difference, but the changes mostly lie in the beam cannon graphic effects. For example, you can see that Samus’ cannon does not freeze when charging up the ice beam.

Update: You can check out the announcement on Capcom’s blog here. Right now, the contest says it’s Europe-exclusive, but we’ll have to see if that information is changed. They may have just copied the same details from the Europe release.
Remember the “monster” surprise Capcom was pumping up? Well, it’s been revealed…And…It’s two challenges. Winners will be credited in Monster Hunter 3. Below is the announcement from Capcom Europe, but the North American division should have their notice up soon as well.
You’ve slaughtered and captured monsters, gathered together for life-threatening missions and ventured in perilous grounds but do you have what it takes to forge the perfect Monster Hunter’s weapon? Prove it!
To celebrate its ever growing Community, Capcom has two challenges for all Monster Hunters:
