Nintendo is soon to remove WiiWare demos
Posted on 15 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 2 Comments
Yup, it’s the truth. Nintendo has just sent out a message to all Wiis (assuming you’re connected to Wifi) notifying users that WiiWare demos will soon be discontinued. They give no reason why, but they do say that they will be taken down after January 31st. If you haven’t gotten a chance to try them, go get them quick!

Iwata turned down Natal technology in 2007

“Iwata-San only ever invests in something he can guarantee will work for a Nintendo audience. 3DV showed off a camera that detected motion in 3D, and had voice recognition – but Iwata-San was unconvinced he could sell it at a Nintendo price point. He also had some worries around latency during gameplay.” – a top insider at Nintendo’s Japan HQ
This isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Nintendo turning down Natal-like features. Last year, Iwata told FT.com that a camera was considered for the Wii, but Nintendo ultimately decided against using such technology.
