Gaijin Games says ‘Runner2’ was going to skip Wii U until they went hands-on with the console

Gaijin Games was a staunch supporter of the Wii– and Nintendo in general– over the last generation, but believe it or not they had initially planned on skipping the Wii U with their upcoming game Runner2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien. The following comes from an interview with NES:
– Either Alex Neuse or Mike Roush; it isn’t clarified
They weren’t always completely happy with the system, however, and they say that if they had to complain about anything it would be the way Nintendo does online. They say it “isn’t as robust as Sony or Microsoft’s”, but note that it’s “WAY better than the Wii” and in the end it’s easy enough to work with once you get the hang of it.

Ace Attorney 5 news due “in the not too distant future”
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Podcast Stories | 0 comments
We haven’t seen Ace Attorney 5 in awhile. Capcom has mostly been keeping quiet about the game since last year’s Tokyo Game Show.
Thankfully, an update on Ace Attorney 5 is on the way. Capcom’s Christian Svensson wrote on the company’s official forums that there will be “news in the not so distant future to share”.
Maybe we’ll hear something at this year’s Captivate event?
Thanks to Jake for the tip.

I’m not sure how long this is going to be on sale (no word on the sale at all from WayForward), but you can pick up Mighty Switch Force! Hyper Drive Edition for but five dollars on the North American Wii U eShop. This price finally got me to jump in and pick up the game, and I bet it’ll convince one or two of you as well. :]
The Witness could come to Wii U, but arriving on PS4 first
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Podcast Stories, Wii U eShop | 0 comments
Braid creator Jonathan Blow finally lifted the curtain on his next project, The Witness, during the PlayStation 4’s unveiling last night. While the game will initially act as an exclusive to the console, Blow hopes to bring it to additional platforms. The Wii U may very well be in the team’s plans.
According to Blow:
“Basically, you’ll see The Witness on PS4 before you’ll see it on the next Microsoft console or on the Wii U, presuming we eventually do ports to those consoles. Ideally we want the game to be in as many places as we can get it, but since we are a small developer and it’s a complicated game, we can only do so much at once.”
If you wish to learn more about The Witness, you can find a few details here.
