Pokemon X/Y’s Super Training was given a fresh look during today’s Pokemon Smash episode in Japan.

In the mini-game, players use the touchscreen to fire balls into different parts of Magneton. They will, at the same time, need to avoid large balls as their Pokemon sits on a platform.

You’ll be able to see a numerical value added to the stat once the game has completed. Pokemon Smash’s example showed a +8 on Special Attack. The specifics of the number are currently a mystery.

As previously mentioned, Pokemon Smash will have another feature on Pokemon X/Y next week. A teaser showed Mewtwo Mega Evolving and promised a shocking revelation about Mega Evolution in general.

Capcom will release three Thunder-themed weapons for Monster Hunter 4 in March of next year as part of a collaboration with Dengeki magazine. The set will include the new Thunder Works hammer, returning classics Gunlance Voltiac Works, and Hunting Flute Blitz Works.

All of these weapons will be found in a quest titled, “To become Electric Blitz Hunters”. How does that tie into Dengeki? As it turns out, the publication’s name translates to Electric Blitz.

Nintendo will be renaming two of its official Facebook pages later this month.

On September 19, the “Nintendo 3DS” page will be known as “Nintendo Handheld Gaming”. And one day later, the “Wii U” page will be changed to “Nintendo Console Gaming”.

Not exactly the biggest piece of news we’ve had in the world of Nintendo as of late. Still, it’s an interesting move – if nothing else, it allows Nintendo to keep one page for its handhelds/home consoles in the future without having to create new ones.

Monster Hunter 4 is on the 3DS, a system which does have its limitations. Despite this, Capcom didn’t make any sort of compromises during development. All of Monster Hunter’s action gameplay has been kept in tact.

Director Kaname Fujioka told Dengeki Online in a new interview:

Tsujimoto [Ryozo, Producer] said “Absolutely let’s not do any trade-off.” On all action segments, you absolutely can’t remove anything if you add something. Our direction was that if 10 was thought to be the maximum, then we continued to add to it in order to transform that maximum into 13.
