Sonic Lost World 3DS screenshots and details cover new Wisps

Famitsu published a new report on the 3DS version of Sonic Lost World, covering a trio of confirmed Wisps found in the game. We’ve translated the details below. You can also check out new screenshots in the included gallery.
Ivory Lightening
– New Color Power
– Ivory Whisp helps you transform
– Ram quickly into enemies and obstacles with this power
– Destroy the areas surrounding as well
– Can attack enemies while simply skipping through the line of electricity
– Can also serve as a conductor by connecting the coils charged with electricity
– Useful for battling on the move
Grey Quake
– Another new Color Power
– Grey Wisp provides this power
– Turn into an iron ball
– Tilt left or right with the 3DS to manipulate the direction of the rolling, iron ball
– Speed becomes very slow when Sonic is in the iron ball state
– Things like quicksand or areas with slimy floors make it even harder to move around freely
– Can go up any wall
– In the case of a problem, if you use the iron ball form while jumping, you can destroy all the enemies and obstacles at once with a devastating impact drop
– Move huge switches, which isn’t normally possible for Sonic
Red Burst
– Transform into a burning flame thanks to the red whisp
– Bounce freely through the air by the power of flame
– Destroy surrounding obstacles
– Deal great damage to enemies
– A big blast increases speed and jump distance
Pokemon X/Y soundtrack seeing retail release in Japan

The Pokemon X/Y soundtrack will be available through iTunes in the west. In Japan, a physical retail version is planned.
The soundtrack is hitting Japan on November 13 for 2,625 yen. It’ll also come with a 28-page book covering the development and background of the tracks.
212 tracks will be included on the CD, lasting over 3 and a half hours. Fans can expect sharper, higher quality, and more realistic sound.

Yet another round of Shin Megami Tensei IV DLC has gone live. One more piece of content can be purchased.
Here’s the overview:
Ancient One of the Sun – $2.49
An add-on-exclusive Challenge Quest to defeat the Ancient of Days, a part of God. Completing this quest lets you fuse Godly Ancient of Days.
Note: This quest relates to the main story.

Pokemon Sunday presenter handling Puzzle & Dragons Z theme song

Shoko Nakagawa, the presenter on Japanese show Pokemon Sunday, will be in charge of Puzzle & Dragons Z’s theme song, it has been confirmed. Nakagawa is also the song singer for Saint Seiya Omega. In the past, she sang the Pokemon Diamond/Pearl ending song and one of the Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood ending themes.
Project Phoenix not coming to Nintendo platforms

Project Phoenix, a new indie RPG created by “AAA” talent, won’t be coming to any Nintendo platform. A notice posted on the official Kickstarter page states the following regarding a potential release on Wii U, Wii, and 3DS:
“Currently we do not have any plans to release it on those consoles.”
PC is the only confirmed platform for Project Phoenix at this time. PlayStation 4 and PS Vita versions are likely as well.

Wedbush analyst Michael Pachter has provided his NPD hardware estimates for the month of July 2013.
Here’s the full roundup:

3DS – 170,000 (29%)
Xbox 360 – 125,000 (-38%)
PS3 – 85,000 (-39%)
Wii – 35,000 (-50%)
Wii U – 30,000 (n/a)
PSP – 4,500 (-60%)

Vita – 20,000 (-58%)
PS2 – 500 (-14%)
Industry – 510,000 (-30%)
We’ll know if Pachter’s estimates were correct when the NPD report goes live this Thursday.
