It looks like Masahiro Sakurai was able to follow up on his desire to include online multiplayer for Kid Icarus: Uprising. In addition to battling others through local play, players can hop on to the Internet to participate in three-on-three bouts. There is a battle royale mode as well.

Nintendo is currently putting on the finishing touches on Kid Icarus: Uprising. It’s due out on March 23 in North America and March 22 in Japan.

During the Nintendo Direct presentation, it was announced that a slew of new 3DS demos will be added to the Japanese eShop. Gamers will be able to sample Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D, Rhythm Thief & the Emperor’s Treasure, Resident Evil: Revelations, and Theatrhythm Final Fantasy.

Demos thus far have had “play limits”, and these samples will likely be the same. This means that you’ll be able to try out a demo twenty times before it is no longer accessible.
