Unsurprisingly, Nintendo has confirmed that the upcoming 3DS update will go live in North America by December 8. That’s the same time frame provided by the company’s Japanese division.

The following message can be read on the eShop:

Record Video in 3D

Soon you can record up to 10 minutes of glasses-free 3D video using the Nintendo 3DS cameras on your Nintendo 3DS system. Record continuous motion, or in stop motion style – then save it to your SD Card. Capture your favorite family moments, silly pet tricks, and more in a whole new way.

The November 3DS update has just become the December 3DS update. Nintendo has announced that the upgrade will now be released in early December. More specifically, the new firmware will be made available before December 8. This date has been announced for Japan, but it will likely go live in North America/Europe on the same day.

Some of the features included in the update includes 3D video recording functionality, eShop improvements, and updates to the StreetPass Mii Plaza.

Nintendo apologized for the delay on their official website and appreciate everyone’s patience.

Nintendo of Europe has taken a few moments to reminder gamers that Mario Kart 7 arrives on Friday. They’ve also confirmed that the wheel peripheral will be sold. The accessory was previously confirmed for Japan only.

28th November, 2011 – With the ability to drive underwater and glide through the air to find new shortcuts, all-new kart customisation options, online play, brand new and enhanced retro courses and fun new race modes, Mario Kart 7 for Nintendo 3DS offers something for every racing fan when it launches across Europe on 2nd December 2011.

Mario Kart 7 gives you the chance to make the Mario Kart experience your own, in a customised kart made to your specifications. Players can race on land, underwater or through the air using new abilities which have been introduced especially for Mario Kart 7. The gliders automatically deploy when you launch off a ramp, allowing you to fly through the air, or use the new ability to drive through water, giving you new ways to overtake your rivals no matter what the terrain.

Screenshots of Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater 3D may lead you to believe that the game is nothing more than a port. That’s not the case though according to Hideo Kojima.

During a promotion event for Metal Gear Solid HD Edition, Kojima said that the 3DS title is, believe it or not, a remake that has been made from scratch. He added that the project has been optimized for the hardware.

We still don’t know much about how Snake Eater 3D sets itself apart from the original game. Konami has only said that it will incorporate some gyroscope support and camera camouflage functionality.
