Update 2: Full page scans have arrived – view them here.

Update: More scans have leaked out. Wouldn’t be surprised if more come in soon!

Only two scans for Project X Zone have leaked thus far. I’m sure we’ll be seeing more soon, so watch this space…

Gearbox Software community managed Chris Faylor strongly believes that the Wii U version of Aliens: Colonial Marines isn’t a port.

SEGA senior producer Matt Powers referred to it as “the Wii U port”. As soon as Faylor heard this, he ran over to Powers and said:

“I hate that word. The Wii U version is not a port. Remove it from your vocabulary.”

I suppose this bodes well for the Wii U version of Colonial Marines! Even if it is a port (don’t shoot me, Mr. Faylor!), it seems as though Gearbox really cares about their work on Nintendo’s console.

All you PAL gamers worried that we wouldn’t be seeing Tecmo Koei’s strategy spinoff of the Pokemon series can rest assured. We now have information from Australia’s Office of Film and Literature Classification (they cover games too!) that suggests that the DS game will be released in Australia, with other PAL regions hopefully following suit.

Update: Sinobi writes that a trailer will be shown before the end of April. The characters below are mostly listed in pairs for a reason. Famitsu says groups of two will typically fight together.

After several weeks of teasing, Namco Bandai, SEGA, and Capcom’s 3DS crossover project has finally been revealed in Famitsu. From what I can gather, it’s titled Project Cross Zone and will be a simulation (strategy) RPG.

Here’s what the roster for each company looks like (tentative translation, will be cleaning this up soon!):

Capcom

Ryu & Ken Masters (Street Fighter 0)
X & Zero (Rockman)
Demitri and Dante (Darkstalkers and Devil May Cry)
Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine (Resident Evil)

SEGA

Ichiro Ogami and Sakura Shinguji (Sakura Wars)
Akira Yuki Chen and Pai Chan (Virtua Fighter)
Kurt Irving & Riera Maruserisu (Valkyria Chronicles)
Cyrille & Toma and Urara (Shining Force EXA & Space Channel 5)

Namco Bandai

Sanger Somvold (Super Robot Wars)
Jin and Ling Xiaoyu (Tekken)
Kos-Mos and T-elos (Xenosaga)
Yuri Lowell & Estellise (Tales of Vesperia)
Kite and Black Rose (.Hack)

Update: For the time being, we’ll use the temporary title, “Taiko no Tatsujin Chibi Dragon and the Mysterious Orb”.

According to the latest issue of Famitsu, there’s some sort of new Taiko no Tatsujin in the works for the 3DS. This is probably what that teaser site was all about.

I don’t have specifics on it yet, but I’m sure more details will surface soon. All I can tell you at this point is that it’s coming out in Japan on July 12 for 5,040 yen.

No, Miyamoto didn’t show up at the Louvre Museum just for the heck of it. Nintendo has prepared 3DS systems that work as an audio guide at the institution. You can read about that here. Screenshots of the Audioguide can be found here.

Goichi Suda probably isn’t making a Wii U game right now. That’s because he still doesn’t have a development kit.

As far as whether or not he’s looking to get ahold of one, Suda 51 said:

“It’s hard to say. Maybe, maybe not. It’s really depending on publishers. We are developers, so it’s up to a publisher.”

It feels like it was ages ago when Suda 51 first said he’d like to make No More Heroes for Nintendo’s next console. As we now know, that’s the Wii U. But without a dev kit, he won’t be able to make No More Heroes 3…
