Junction Point hoping Epic Mickey sales are good, did the best they could with the game

This information comes from Junction Point’s Paul Weaver…
“I think it comes down to belief at the end of the day and we’ve invested a huge amount of time and passion into the game. I really do believe you can tell when a game has a soul, when people went in and made the very best game they could. I know we did at Junction Point. Obviously I hope it’s very well received in the marketplace and with that in mind we hope for good sales. That’s really going to be for the public to decide, for us we made the best game we could.”
Well, from what we’ve seen so far, Epic Mickey hasn’t sold well in the UK. But it’s much too early to be discussing sales at this point. The game is just coming out today in North America, after all!
Another little easter egg in Donkey Kong Country Returns

In this picture, make sure to look at the top right part of the level…
Some people think that the similarities between that portion of the level and Crocomire’s skull (from Super Metroid, of course) are just a conincidence. But, we can’t forget that Retro spent a few years on the Metroid series, and several additional easter eggs related to other Nintendo titles have been discovered.
5th Cell believe 3DS is cooler than Kinect and Move, R&D phase for 3DS title
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in 3DS, News, Wii | 3 Comments
First, 5th Cell’s Jeremiah Slaczka was asked if Kinect or Move provide him with any inspiration…
“Yeah… a little. I don’t know. The 3DS is cooler in our opinion.”
Slaczka then elaborated on his thoughts regarding Move/its relation to Wii…
“Move is okay. It’s Wii plus. It’s good for what it is. Ultimately it’s all about the system. If the idea makes sense, then we can do it and we will. But it’s all about the idea.”
Last but not least, Slaczka talked about 5th Cell’s interest in the 3DS, and that the company is in the R&D phase of making a 3DS title…
“[5th Cell is] in the R&D phase [to make a 3DS game]. We have people playing around with it. The 3D camera is probably the most interesting thing that’s the least talked about.”
Mysterious ratings pop up on the OFLC website

001, 002, and 003… Those listings don’t really give us any clues as to what the games could be. Are those even the real names? Hopefully we’ll receive some answers soon!

FLUX is the final BIT.TRIP title
Posted on 14 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii | 0 comments

Can you believe that five BIT.TRIP titles have already been released? I feel like BEAT wasn’t released that long ago, even though it launched in March of last year. Unfortunately, CommanderVideo’s adventures are almost over. There’s just one BIT.TRIP game left – and it seems like it will be titled “Flux.” The USK has shared the game’s title a bit early, though we should hear some information about the project soon.
SEGA wipes those Sonic 4 leaderboards
Posted on 14 years ago by Austin(@NE_Austin) in News, Wii | 3 Comments

In a move that isn’t all too surprising, SEGA has opted to wipe the leaderboards of Sonic 4 due to rampant cheating in the game. Cheaters would hack the game to show impossible run-times in levels that couldn’t be beat, which completely ruins the fun of the game for everyone else trying to play.
Cheating seems to be making a comeback in the last few years, with Wii games getting hit especially hard due to their easy-to-hack online structure. Hopefully we’ll see some decency in the gaming community soon, but until then we just have to deal with it it seems.
