Wii U eShop

Three Kirby games are due out this week on the North American Wii U eShop this week as Virtual Console downloads. What about next week?

Listings of Nintendo’s site confirms that two games for May 30: Spelunker and Ghosts ‘N Goblins. The latter was previously confirmed by Capcom, though at least we know that nothing has changed. Each title is priced at $4.99.

A.N.N.E has been fully funded on Kickstarter with nearly $90,000 raised, but with only two days remaining, the project is unlikely to hit its Wii U stretch goal of $140,000. Fortunately, developer Gamesbymo has guaranteed that A.N.N.E. will head to the eShop even if that target isn’t reached.

All versions will be made in due time, though the wait will be a bit longer if stretch goals aren’t met.

Gamesbymo wrote on Kickstarter:

“The consoles listed in the stretch goals will happen regardless of if we meet the stretch goals or not. But it will take longer than if we do meet the stretch goals. This could be a good opportunity for the wishful to pledge $15 and up and then when the game comes out on console later, it will be a good reason to explore Planet Gomi a second time!”

There hasn’t been an official announcement, but it really does sound like a Wii U version of Abyss is in the works. EnjoyUp Games has teased the game for Nintendo’s console for a second time.

On Facebook, the company wrote:

“EnjoyUp´s development:
Abyss HD WiiU in #Unity3D ???”

EnjoyUp also attached the following picture:

Sounds like we’ll be seeing Abyss on Wii U in some form!

A sizable step in the right direction.

I think, at this point, it’s very difficult to judge a Resident Evil title without comparing it to past entries in the series. It’s almost like Sonic in that respect, constantly trying to reinvent itself with a blend of what people used to like about the franchise and a more modern, trendy aesthetic. With Resident Evil: Revelations on 3DS (2011), Capcom appeared to be making strides towards meshing their two play-styles (survival horror and action-horror) together, and after the critical and commercial success of the game they decided to re-release it in high-definition for Wii U, Playstation 3, and Xbox 360.

And honestly, I’m very happy about that.

Here’s the latest update on Mutant Mudds Deluxe: after submitting the game to Nintendo earlier this month, it was returned “with a few issues”. These have now been fixed, and the downloadable title will once again be submitted to Nintendo of America.

Renegade Kid co-founder Jools Watsham tweeted:

If all goes well, Mutant Mudds Deluxe will hit the Wii U eShop in June.
