German developer Bumblebee launched a Kickstarter for a new turn-based RPG, Days of Dawn, late last month. PC, Mac, and Linux were the game’s only confirmed platforms, but the indie team announced last Friday that it has become a Wii U developer. Bumblebee said that a Wii U version “is now within reach” and it would be “a dream platform for the game.”

Days of Dawn only has until mid-Sunday to reach its $50,000 goal. Currently, the total stands at $27,392. It’ll be tough to raise another $23,000 (give or take) in less than a week, but it’d certainly be nice to see another indie effort on Wii U.

You can find more information about Days of Dawn here.

Toki Tori 2 used to be a 1080p game. It’s now presented in 720p, but the slight downgrade in resolution will be worth it. Developer Two Tribes confirmed on Twitter today that Toki Tori 2 will now run at 60 frames-per-second as opposed to 30.

Gaijin Games is currently gearing up to release Runner2. If all goes well, it should make it out later this month. An official date hasn’t been set, but Gaijin hopes to have it ready to on on the Wii U eShop on February 26.

A tweet from Gaijin reads:

Thanks to NR for the tip.

“Actually I think Death Inc. would be a great fit. To be honest we hadn’t thought about it much before the Kickstarter campaign – but there’s been this support for the idea that we thought… hang on. This could work. The control mechanic is very tactile and satisfying – it would be perfect for any touch screen device.

“And even better for the Wii U because we wouldn’t have to compromise on the visuals like we might have to do if we did a tablet version (which would also be cool). I love, love, love the ‘living room’ experience of playing games — it’s my favourite setting, so it would be amazing to see it there.”

– Ambient Studios co-founder Johnny Hopper

The sooner they get it out the better! I know if it came out, got decent reviews, and wasn’t priced too ridiculously I would pick it up in a second since there isn’t much else on the eShop at this point. Heck, I almost picked up Puddle the other day simply because I wanted something to play on Wii U that was new… but I didn’t in the end. Whether there would be more support for Death Inc. I’m not sure– I know that reviews would probably play a big role in getting people to pick it up, since there likely wouldn’t be any measurable “hype” around an eShop release.
