Pikmin 3 details
Posted on 11 years ago by Brian(@NE_Brian) in News, Wii U | 0 comments
The latest Pikmin 3 details are as follows:
– Game has co-op that is somewhat like an evolution of Pikmin 3’s challenge mode
– Work with another player to secure as much loot as possible within each level’s time limit
– Those two players are actually in charge of managing three captains — Alph, Charlie and Brittany — simultaneously, but each can only control one at a time
– Swap between their active captain and the reserve at will
– Ex: while playing as Alph, can pick up Charlie and toss him to a higher platform, then swap to Charlie, who was able to yank some formerly unreachable Pikmin from the ground
– Flying Pikmin can hover over hazards, but aren’t powerful with melee attacks and their ability to transport cargo can become a little counterintuitive — if you have ground-based Pikmin trying to pull fruit while your Flyers are trying to lift it, it’s going to go absolutely nowhere
– Flyers are required to pass through certain obstacles
– Can only lift a type of heavy gate by lifting it with the help of 10 Flying Pikmin
– Every time you want to return some material to your ship, need to make sure you have all 10, all back at the gate, ready to lift
– Co-op only playable with Wiimote and nunchuck
– Demo level was large and labyrinthine
