Wii U

Austin edit: This is a thing you must do, because the game is truly wonderful.

ZombiU will be on sale for just $45 this weekend. Starting on December 30 and through January 5, Target will be maintaining the discount.

If you’re interested in the game, now may be the time to make a purchase. This is by far the lowest price we’ve seen for ZombiU thus far.

Nintendo tends to keep a low profile at the World Hobby Fair. That’s no different this year.

Two games will be playable during the four different Japanese events in January and February. New Super Mario Bros. U and Mario Chase from Nintendo Land will both be available at the Big N’s booth.

Yes, it’s true – along with the Wii U console itself, GamePads are region-locked. It’s possible to pair a controller from one country to a system purchased in another territory, but you won’t ever get the thing functioning. Everything comes to a halt once the GamePad attempts to perform an update.

The Wii U version of Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate doesn’t feature keyboard support. It’s possible to use an on-screen HUD, but you can’t plug in a USB device and type away.

This could change in the future. At Jump Festa 2013 this past weekend, some of the game’s staffers hinted that Ultimate could be getting keyboard down the line. It’d be rather nice to have this feature available through an update by the time the localized version hits store shelves.

From the pages of the latest issue of Famitsu, Tecmo Koei shared information regarding the first downloadable content in Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2. Amiba, Han, and Nameless Asura will all be joining the game as playable characters. Apparently there’s a risqué costume for Rin on the way as well.
